Meghan Markle‘s half-sister, Samantha Markle has released her first book detailing their upbringing and family life, in a move which made Meghan “feel sick” when she first heard of the publication.
Samantha Markle announced in 2017 that she would be writing a memoir about her half-sister, Meghan, who had gotten engaged to Prince Harry that same year.
And after years of waiting, the book titled Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister Part One has been published and is getting some interesting reviews on Amazon.
According to Samantha Markle, she is putting the intimate details of Meghan’s life on the shelves for the general public to read.
The 330-page book claims to reveal “truths” about Meghan Markle, going as far back as her early childhood when Samantha would call her “flower.”
Teasing the contents of the autobiography, the description says that “truth is stranger than fiction.” The contents slam the Duchess of Sussex for how she treated her family, including cutting off ties with their father, Thomas Markle.
Samantha has previously criticized Meghan in TV interviews but has also been known to compliment her publicly too.
In her newly-published autobiography, 56-year-old Samantha Markle writes about watching her younger sister marry producer Trevor Engelson and move away to Toronto to film for Suits — the TV show where Meghan Markle found fame — in 2011.
According to the book’s excerpts, the former actress was dating Harry and chef Cory Vitiello at the same time.
Samantha wrote via The Royal Observer: “What confused me was that, if [Meghan and Harry] had been dating for six months, that’s just that she would’ve been dating Harry, at the same time she was dating the restaurateur Cory, who seemed like a good fit because they both have food in that exquisite taste. I imagine that Cory will be devastated by being “dumped “for a prince, or was she dating them both simultaneously? I was sure it could be uncomfortable for either of them.”
Samantha Markle claimed that her sister had an affair with one of her Suits costars while married to Trevor Engelson.
She continued: “We heard through the grapevine that Meg was involved with someone on the show. I was in shock because I thought they had a marriage that defied all odds in Hollywood.”
Samantha Markle also dropped the bombshell that Meghan Markle surprised attendees at her wedding with marijuana.
Prince Harry’s comment that the royal family would be “the family Meghan never had” is mentioned in the book — described by Samantha as the “ultimate insult.”
She also details the rift between the two sisters while their father was married to Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland.
Meghan and Samantha Markle are thought to have last seen each other in 2008. Samantha is already writing her next book, which will form the second part of her memoir, although there is no release date.
