On August 11, 2020, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will further damage their already-strained relationship with the British royal family.
Harry and the Duchess of Sussex, who have been involved in a ton of controversies, will drop a tell-all book that contains eye-popping revelations and explores the open wounds created by their departure from London.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shocked the world earlier this year when they unexpectedly announced that they wanted to step down from their roles as working senior royals and prefer to be independent of the monarchy’s restrictions.
Meanwhile, Meghan has taken upon bringing her fight with some of the British tabloids to court, as it was recently announced that the Duchess of Sussex was suing the Mail on Sunday due to the outlet distributing articles that were “distorted” and “false.”
According to Meghan’s legal team, the Duchess had to face numerous stories about her that were so inaccurate that she was left with “tremendous emotional distress and damage to her mental health.”
Besides, Meghan also insisted that the royal family did nothing to protect her from the hostile British press. She faced malicious rumors during her pregnancy with Archie.
In the meantime, the upcoming biography about the Sussexes, Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand is expected to further distance the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from the royal family, as it presents them as being “influential and a forward-thinking couple who are unafraid to break with tradition.”
Currently, the book is promoted for its intimate portrayal of the former senior royals. According to some royal experts, its appearance would only widen the rift between Prince Harry and his brother, Prince William.
The book, that will be available on August 11, 2020, will focus on the Queen‘s hurt at the decision and Prince Charles‘s fury when Harry and his wife left for Canada.
A royal source told The Sun that the royal family could not sleep at night and added: “They are worried William especially will be portrayed in a bad light. This sort of family spat shouldn’t be out there in public. This shouldn’t happen to future monarchs. The book could be the most damaging thing to the royal family since Prince Diana‘s interview on Panorama with Martin Bashir.”
The power couple is also trying to become major players on the speaking circuit.
