Prince Harry was told by many to be very apologetic when he arrived in London to attend Prince Philip‘s funeral if he wanted to heal the divide that he and his wife, Meghan Markle, created with their bombshell interview.
According to several royal insiders, Prince Harry did just that by writing what is said to be a “deeply personal” letter to his father, Prince Charles, hours before Prince Philip’s funeral.
In a surprising twist, the content of the private letter has leaked — another reason for Prince William to distrust his younger brother and sister-in-law further.
According to the British media, the Duke of Sussex told Prince Charles in the personal note that he is aware that their relationship “hit rock bottom” after he and his pregnant wife sat down with Oprah Winfrey and made revelations that rattled the monarchy.
Prince Harry explained in his letter why he and his family decided to leave the UK. According to a royal insider, Prince Harry “outlined his reasons for leaving” and promised his father to “respect the institution.”
Sources close to the Duke of Sussex also told The Mirror that he has been “forced to write letters” to Prince Charles because there has been a “complete communication breakdown” between them.
A royal insider said: “Truth be told, Harry didn’t really know what to expect before he came home, which is why he reached out before seeing everyone. He wrote a deeply personal note to his dad to try and set things straight, but tensions are still running high, and things haven’t exactly ironed out the way he had hoped. There had been a kind of unspoken agreement between everyone to park whatever has been on each person’s mind and solely concentrate on supporting the Queen ahead of Prince Philip’s funeral.”
The source also stated: “Harry didn’t expect everything to be completely back to normal, but his feeling after seeing his family was there is a lot of ground to make up.”
Prince William and Prince Charles are said to be shocked by the number of stories and details that sources close to Prince Harry have leaked to countless American media outlets after the funeral.
A royal source shared: “There is a lot of distrust in the camp, and everything is still very, very raw.”
Palace insiders revealed both future kings are “outraged” at the number of articles containing private information that has been written quoting Prince Harry’s allies and pals.
The royals have decided that no meaningful conversations will take place with Prince Harry because they fear all will be leaked to the press.
According to The Sun, all important talks with Prince Harry and The Firm are now on hold.
Along with the intimate letter being leaked, details about Meghan Markle and Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor‘s conversations with The Queen have been revealed to the American media.
