It is being claimed that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will have a busy and somewhat awkward September if all goes as planned.

The power couple, who recently caused a firestorm with their interviews and Prince Harry’s upcoming memoir, still wants Queen Elizabeth II to attend the christening of their daughter, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.

Prince Harry reportedly made sure to leak a comment via a close pal that said that he and his wife would wait for the Queen to be available for the ceremony to take place in St George’s Chapel in Windsor in her presence.

Many slammed Prince Harry and the former actress for forcing the Queen’s hands and for having it both ways — reject and bash the royals while demanding all the perks of being a member of the royal family.

Royal expert Russell Myers warned Meghan Marke and her husband that with tension running high because of the truth bombs and the pending memoir, that it would be “definitely awkward” to christen Lilibet in Windsor. He also reminded Meghan Markle she is no longer the flavor of the month after “Megxit.”

He shared: “Meghan isn’t the flavor of the month with the family. Certainly, the family has always said they will be much-loved members of the family. However, we’re still talking about the fallout of the Oprah Winfrey interview, Emmy or no Emmy nomination.”

Royal blogger Gertrude Daly said the Sussexes have made it impossible for the Queen to say no, and she believes that Lili Diana, who is eighth in line, will have her first big royal moment in the fall per her parents’ desire.

She said: “I fully expect Lilibet will be christened in the UK at some point. One of the requirements of the line of succession is that you must be a Protestant. And to become Monarch, you must be specifically ‘in communion with the Church of England. The Succession rules don’t lay out exactly what that means. There is nothing saying you need to be baptized, or confirmed by a certain age. As long as you aren’t baptized or confirmed into another religion, you probably would be able to keep your place.”

She added Meghan Markle and Prince Harry should not give the Queen a deadline because Princess Eugenie was christened at nine months old.

Daly also shared: “But, given the Queen’s role as head of Church of England, I would expect the Sussexes to christen Lilibet in England. It could happen this autumn. Or they could put it off till another trip to the UK. There is no deadline. Princess Eugenie wasn’t christened until she was nine months old. But if they want Lilibet to wear the Royal Christening gown, it would likely have to be during their autumn trip.”

Observers say that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are curring winning the PR game against the British monarchy, and there is not much the Queen can do about it.
