It has been a busy month for both Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton, who have returned to public life.
And Camilla Parker Bowles has decided to make her presence felt with an emotional speech. Meghan Markle made an appearance in New York, where she took part in a vaccine equality concert.
With her husband, Prince Harry, by her side, Meghan Markle delivered a powerful speech.
She also took the opportunity to mingle with many high-profile politicians.
Kate Middleton razzled and dazzled at the premiere of the new James Bond movie, No Time To Die, in a gold dress that had the fashion world into a frenzy.
Meanwhile, Camilla Parker Bowles has turned her focus to a beloved charity that is dedicated to helping people fighting cancer.
Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, helped commemorate the 25th anniversary of the first Maggie’s Centre opened in the UK.
Camilla Parker Bowles, who has been working with Maggie’s since 2008, had this to say: “The brainchild of the indomitable Maggie Keswick Jencks, the blueprint of Maggie’s was conceived on the top of her bed with the help of her young oncology nurse, Laura Lee, during the last years of her brave battle against cancer. Her legacy today continues with the brilliant, now Dame Laura at the helm of this outstanding charity. Now, it’s 25 years since the first Maggie’s Centre opened in Edinburgh and 13 years ago that I visited it.”
Prince Charles‘s wife went on to explain: “The other day, I found some notes that I had for the engagement, which read: ‘Maggie’s is welcoming, friendly and non-institutional. Supporting people from the moment they ask for help, free of charge and unconditionally for as long as help is needed. To me, that sounds like a description of a perfect friend. And of course, Maggie’s Centre are perfect friends to everyone who enters their doors.”
She concluded by: “That day in Edinburgh, it was impossible for me not to reflect on people I knew with cancer and to wish that they had had access to such a special place.”
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry also rattled the financial world by announcing their surprising new business deal.
The independent royals have announced that they have joined the sustainability-focused investment firm Ethic as “impact partners.”
Kate Middleton’s husband, Prince William, also made headlines by calling out billionaires like Jeff Bezos for investing large sums of money and energy into space tourism instead of focusing on climate change that impacts planet Earth.
