Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Shut Down Critics Elegantly With Their Latest Surprising Move

Prince Harry Meghan Markle Invictus Games

Meghan Markle has joined Prince Harry in The Netherlands this week. The trip comes less than two weeks after Prince Harry and Mrs. Markle declined to join Queen Elizabeth II and the royal family at Prince Philip‘s Thanksgiving service in London.

Meghan Markle makes her first trip outside of the United States since “Megxit”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are marking their first transatlantic trip since stepping down from their royal duties — and England was involved with a quick private visit to see the Queen.

The Duke and Duchesse of Susexess then travelled to the Netherlands to attend the 2022 Invictus Games.

Prince Harry launched the sporting event, and it features injured or sick military personnel and veterans from across the globe.

This year’s competition will take place from April 16 to 22. Last month, Prince Harry confirmed that he would be present for the opening ceremony.

And earlier this month, The Mirror published a report that revealed that his wife would accompany the Duke of Sussex.

Their young son, Archie, and baby daughter Lilibet Diana did not make the trip. However, they reportedly told Her Majesty that they will return.

Royal insiders told the media outlet that Meghan Markle could make the surprising move of joining Prince Harry on stage at the games’ opening ceremony.

The source continued: “Meghan is excited to travel with Harry for the event, which is certainly close to his heart.”

A Netflix camera crew will follow Prince Harry and Markle throughout the Games

The Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle are traveling with a Netflix documentary crew who will film every aspect of the Games.

Prince Harry and Mrs. Meghan’s Archewell Productions have announced that they are working on a documentary called Heart of Invictus that will air on Netflix.

The project is described as follows: “…a multi-episode production that will spotlight a group of extraordinary Invictus Games competitors from around the globe – members of the military community who have experienced life-changing injuries or illnesses – on their road to Invictus Games.”

Markle and Prince Harry are making a risky bet to travel to Holland after missing a somber event with Queen Elizabeth

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s plans to be part of the Invictus Games have sparked some frustrations after they refused to travel to England to attend the Duke of Edinburgh‘s service of Thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey.

Prince Harry has stated that he will not return to his home country with his family because it is too dangerous.

He has filed a lawsuit against the British government because he is not allowed to pay for his private security personnel while in the country.

Prince Harry and Mrs. Markle’s level of security was downgraded after their 2020 decision to no longer be working royals.

Many royal experts have attacked the pair for the move to travel to a country that is miles away from the UK after snubbing Queen Elizabeth.

The British prince and his spouse have also left some security experts confused by their risky trip.

Ken Wharfe, an ex-Met officer, who once protected Prince Harry, told The Daily Mail: “I’m baffled about why Harry thinks he would be safer in the Netherlands than the UK. He would have traveled to his grandfather’s memorial service with his brother or father and received protection from the Met. It’s not like he would have been turning up at Westminster Abbey on a bike.”

He added: “It is more of a risk to go to Holland to support a charity with a military link than coming to London last week.”

A spokesman for the independent royals responded with this statement: “We take measures based on the security threat level.”

By visiting the Queen in a very discreet fashion, the power couple was able to respond to their numerous critics in an elegant fashion.

Harry has even met his father, Prince Charles, for 15 minutes.
