Meghan Markle’s New Name Has Been Revealed As Prince Harry Confirms That Their Son, Archie, Will Be Raised Differently

Meghan Markle Prince Harry's New Name Archie

Meghan Markle may have to depart with the surname “Sussex” after she left her post of a working senior royal known as “Megxit.”

Meghan first adopted the surname when she became the Duchess of Sussex, via her marriage to Prince Harry, back in May 2018.

However, with the couple’s decision to step down from their duties for the British royal family, it became apparent that they will have to abandon the usage of their titles as well.

Besides, it was reported that Meghan and Harry have decided the “Mountbatten-Windsor” surname was the most suitable option for their son, Archie.

Reportedly, the parents have chosen the last name for their son as a way to pay tribute to Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh.

As a result, a lot of people began speculating that Meghan may want to adopt the same surname as her son’s, and she may become Meghan Mountbatten-Windsor soon.

The British royal family’s official surname was chosen to be Mountbatten-Windsor by Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip back in 1960, when they combined their two last names, “Windsor” and “Mountbatten” as a way to compromise on each other’s wishes.

In 1952, when Elizabeth became the Queen of the United Kingdom, she famously announced that the family’s last name would continue to be Windsor, despite her husband’s family name.

However, the Queen’s statement allegedly caused problems in her marriage to Prince Philip, who at the time supposedly reacted with the words, “I’m just a bloody amoeba” because his children would not bear their father’s last name.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s big move to California from Canada is not going as smoothly as previously thought.

British primatologist Jane Goodall, who is a good friend of the couple, spoke to the Radio Times and said this: “I don’t know how his career is going to map out, but yes, I’ve been in touch, though I think he’s finding life a bit challenging now.”

She continued: “They hunt and shoot. But I think Harry will stop because Meghan doesn’t like hunting, so I suspect that is over for him.”

During the interview, the English primatologist and anthropologist said Harry revealed that his son, Archie, would be differently raised than he was.

She said: “I made Archie do the Queen’s wave, saying, ‘I suppose he’ll have to learn this. Harry said, ‘No, he’s not growing up like that.'”

This is a different era.
