The story of Chinese government spy Fang Fang, also known as Christine Fang, reads like a Hollywood thriller with ingredients like crime, sex and politics, and honey trapping.
This week, a bombshell report dropped from Axios revealing that the Chinese woman had been using her looks and wits to seduce political figures from California and Ohio for close to four years.
In 2011, Fang entered the United States as a college student under false pretenses. The spy reached out and befriended California Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell, with whom she allegedly had sexual relationships.
It has been revealed that Fang helped raise funds for Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii). She campaigned for Representative Ro Khanna and appeared in photos on Facebook with then-Representative Mike Honda and Representative Judy Chu.
Alluring pictures of Fang have been circulating on social media, and they might explain why the dark-haired beauty made connections with several mayors, including one in Ohio.
The media outlet reports that she was caught on an FBI electronic surveillance video having sex with an unnamed Ohio mayor in a car.
When targeting local and national leaders, Fang “used political gatherings, civic society conferences, campaign rallies, and campus events” to achieve her goals.
She was on a mission but failed to obtain classified material. The Chinese agent vanished without a trace in 2015 when she discovered that the feds were after her.
Swalwell is now demanding an investigation into the matter while refusing to say if he had sex with the Communist honey trap.
The Democratic congressman, who is part of the Intelligence and Judiciary Committee, claimed that he is being targeted because he played a role in impeaching President Donald Trump.
Mr. Swalwell stated: “I hope it is investigated into who leaked this information. At the same time, this story was being leaked out is the time that I was working on impeachment on the House Intelligence and Judiciary Committees.”
He went on to say: “And if this is a country where people who criticize the president are going to have law enforcement information weaponized against them, that’s not a country that any of us want to live in. I’ve been a critic of the president. I’ve spoken out against him. I was on both committees that worked to impeach him,’ the California congressman told Politico on Tuesday. ‘The timing feels like that should be looked at. What it appears though that this person — as the story reports — was unsuccessful in whatever they were trying to do.”
Donald Trump Jr., President Trump’s eldest son, claimed that Swalwell did sleep with Fang and Tucker Carlson agrees.
He said on his Fox News show: “U.S. intelligence officials believe that Fang had a sexual relationship with Eric Swalwell. We asked Swalwell’s office about that directly today. His staff replied by saying that they could not comment whether Swalwell had a sexual relationship with Fang because that information might be, quote, classified.”
The Fang story gave observers a little glimpse into modern-day spying.
