Chris Noth, famous for playing Mr. Big on Sex and the City, has been accused by multiple women of sexual assault. Noth’s career and personal life are now hanging by a thread.
Zoe Lister-Jones accuses Chris Noth of being a “sexual predator.”
Actress Zoe Lister-Jones posted on Instagram this week a series of allegations of sexual misconduct against actor Chris Noth.
Her account was the latest accusations against the 67-year-old actor, known for his role-playing Mr. Big on the popular TV series Sex and the City and And Just Like That…
Posting to the social media site, Lister-Jones, 39, told Instagram followers that she worked in a New York club when she was in her 20s.
According to Lister-Jones, Chris Noth owned the club, and he would occasionally turn up and was “consistently sexually inappropriate” with female staff.
She also shared details of her experience working as a guest star on Law and Order not long after, when Noth returned to the show in 2005.
The actor would keep beer under the table and drink in between takes, Lister-Jones wrote.
She recalled one incident where he got close to her and “sniffed” her neck before telling her in a whisper that she smelled good.
Noth was drunk on the set, claimed Lister-Jones, who revealed that she did not say anything about the sexual misconduct to anyone at the time.
Her fellow promoters at the club also did not say anything about the incidents — something Zoe Lister-Jones described as “so rare.”
It is not known which club she was working at, but Noth has invested in a couple of venues, including The Cutting Room in Manhattan.
Speaking about how she felt that Mr. Big had been killed off in the recent Sex and the City revamp, Lister-Jones said she was “relieved” because she could not “separate the actor from the man.”
Describing Noth as a “sexual predator,” she said her experiences were smaller than other accounts of sexual assault, which had been “bravely” shared on Thursday.
Chris Noth responds to accusations that he had sexually inappropriate behavior.
Thus far, three women have alleged that Chris Noth preyed on them in 2004 and 2015 and lured them to quiet and private places. Noth issued a statement where he denies the allegations.
The actor said: “The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false. These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago — no always means no — that is a line I did not cross. The encounters were consensual. It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women.”
Noth’s Sex and the City female co-stars throw him under the bus.
Noth’s co-stars on And Just Like That…, a spinoff of Sex and the City, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis were quick to weigh in on the scandal.
With a unanimous voice, they said they stood with the women.
In a statement, the actresses said: “We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth. We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it.”
Chris Noth loses big following allegations of sexual assault.
It has been confirmed that Noth has been fired from the hit CBS drama The Equalizer.
CBS stated: “Chris Noth will no longer film additional episodes of The Equalizer, effective immediately.”
According to a reliable source, who spoke to Page Six, Noth’s marriage is in big trouble.
A person close to Noth’s wife, Tara Wilson, said: “Tara is upset, and things are hanging by a thread. She just wants to protect the kids [Orion, 13, and Keats, 18 months]. That is her number one priority.”
Wilson was pictured in Sherman Oaks on Monday for the first time since the scandal broke and she was not wearing her wedding ring.
While some are surprised by the allegations, others are not.
In the 1990s, model Beverly Johnson, who dated Noth, accused him of domestic abuse.
