The latest reports confirmed that Prince William and his spouse, Kate Middleton, have been left to fend for themselves after King Charles III decided he was not going to lift a finger to help them.
There is a bizarre war going on between King Charles and his younger brother, Prince Andrew, over a $46 million estate.
After the death of Queen Elizabeth II, King Charles made a few weak attempts to evict Prince Andrew from the Royal Lodge, a 30-room property.
His Majesty was supposed to get Prince Andrew out of the way so Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, could move into the lodge.
However, Prince Andrew has decided to steamroll over Prince William’s wish and King Charles’s silly demands. Prince Andrew confirmed that he is not Prince Harry (who was brutally thrown out of Frogmore Cottage) and has found multiple well-calculated ideas to beat King Charles and stay in the massive mansion.
King Charles offered his brother Prince Harry’s former cottage, which he declined. Prince Andrew further ridiculed His Majesty by giving his daughter, Princess Eugenie, the five-bedroom Frogmore Cottage.
Princess Eugenie recently gave birth; therefore, King Charles would not dare kick her out. A royal source told Page Six: “In the meantime, Harry and Meghan vacated Frogmore after being told they needed to leave to make way for Andrew, but he is refusing to go there, even though he was given the keys. He’s allowing Eugenie to stay there. She’s just given birth to her second child, so while she recovers and gets back on her feet, she’s staying in Frogmore to be near her mom and dad.”
Prince Andrew was said to be almost poor after paying the astronomical sum to Jeffrey Epstein‘s accuser, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, in 2022 to settle a sex-abuse case.
King Charles stepped in and offered to pay for all the necessary repairs to the lodge. Prince Andrew understood that King Charles would change the locks of the palace during the renovations, so he magically found a large amount of money and will take care of the bill.
The insider went on to say: “Andrew was advised that he should move out while work was undertaken because the house is virtually a building site, but he’s refused because he’s so terrified that the property might be seized in his absence.”
The source shared that Queen Elizabeth left her favorite son a huge amount of money to renovate the property and added: “Queen Elizabeth to pay for the work on the house. It was long said that he was her favorite child. He’s been quite open about where the money has come from because he doesn’t want people to think he’s come up with it through other means. The costs are expected to reach into the hundreds of thousands of pounds.”
An exasperated King Charles has folded, and now Prince Andrew will live in the lodge until he dies. Then again, King Charles has no reason to fight with Prince Andrew because he calls the following 12 mansions/castles his home: Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, Balmoral, Sandringham, Clarence House, Birkhall, Highgrove, the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, Dumfries House, the Castle of Mey, Ray Mill, and Zalanpatak.
However, it is not the same situation for Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, who are forced to live with their three children in a modest home.
For almost a year, the Waleses have resided at Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor Estate. Adelaide Cottage has four bedrooms, meaning there is just enough space for the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children.
However, it is not enough for the staff members, and there is no space for an office or to hold meetings.
A Kensington Palace source said: “There are four bedrooms, which just about fits them all, but they need space for staff and offices. They desperately want a larger property for their family in the Windsor area, and discussions were originally focused on Royal Lodge. But Andrew was having none of it and is adamant that he will see out the end of his lease at Royal Lodge.”
The insider concluded by saying that Prince William and his wife feel defeated by the situation and added: “William and Catherine have resigned themselves, for now, to staying in their small house, but it won’t work in the long term.”
King Charles is not winning all the major fights in the Royal family.
