In the past few months, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have come to the conclusion that they have gone too far and have caused enough damage to the Royal Family.
Since the publication of Spare, Markle and Prince Harry have abruptly taken a vow of silence. The Montecito couple has announced no more royal bashing, but will now focus on more positive-oriented businesses like documentaries on Africa.
However, according to royal biographer Tom Bower, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have no choice but to drastically change the way they do things because it is no longer working.
He told OK! the loss of their Spotify deal implies that their brand is not “reputable” because they have too much baggage after their incendiary accusations in their many interviews, including the Oprah Winfrey chit-chat.
He said: “They are beginning to taste the medicine that they handed out during the Oprah Winfrey interview. They’re finding it very, very hard to keep their brand reputable. They’re constantly having to defend themselves, and they’re grasping for opportunities that don’t exist anymore.”
He went after Meghan Markle by saying that she has been quiet for the past six months because she knows she has caused too much pain and has no clue how to reverse the process.
She is hoping her changes will be enough to convince King Charles III, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Kate Middleton she is a changed woman.
He claimed: “All she’s got is the baggage of the Oprah Winfrey interview and her damnation of the royal family in various successive interviews. That’s why she’s been so quiet the whole year. She knows they’ve probably gone too far, and she doesn’t know how to get out of it now. What is fascinating is how it will end. What will the climax be?”
However, there is another layer to the story. King Charles has actually shut the door and declined to pick up the phone, so Markle and Prince Harry no longer have access to the Royal Family’s private events and secret conversations.
If they do not know what is going on in the Palace walls, they can no longer humiliate the royals. It seems that Markle will not get any sympathy from the royals after what she has done.
