Britney Spears has some of her devoted fans in a confused state. The pop superstar, who turned 41 on Friday, has been posting some interesting messages and photos on her Instagram page lately.
A few of them are about her sons. There is also one about her younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, 31. The surprising notes are positive and sweet.
They contradict what had been previously said about her relationship with her family. The difference is so noticeable that some followers are wondering if Spears is the one still handling the account.
The confusing message for Jamie read: “It’s my b-day, but you’re my heart, so I’m thinking about you … congratulations on being so brave, inspiring, and showing guts and glory in your show 🎉 !!! You ain’t alone … if anybody knows what that feels like … I get it 🤧🤧🤧 My baby sister !!! I love you !!! ”
The post was accompanied by two pictures. Earlier this year, the tone was slightly different when she called her sister “a scum.”
She wrote at the time: “You are scum, Jamie Lynn.” This was after the sibling published the best-selling memoir Things I Should Have Said.
The younger Spears refused to engage her sister and decided to leave the lines of communication open. Her public response read: “Brit, I am always here for you; you know, behind the scenes, I have always been here. It’s become exhausting when conversations and texts we have in private don’t match what you post on social media.”
Britney Spears followed up with similar notes for her two sons — 17-year-old Sean Preston and Jayden James, 16.
Initially, she uploaded two different updates for the children. However, on Saturday, the one for Jayden James was deleted. It is possible that one of the children has asked the mother to delete the image.
The caption for her children read: “To both of my boys … I love you … I would die for you !!! God speed my precious hearts !!! I would give anything just to touch your face !!! I send my love … Mamasita.”
The latest developments have supporters worrying and wondering if Spears is doing okay. One of them wrote: “Thankfully, a lot of y’all have not been through DV and stuff like that and have not had to think like a survivor. Brit is not okay. The subtle signs are there. She cannot just outright post what she is going thru because she can get hurt! The fact that she has not gone live isn’t captioning like she used to, no more expressing her feelings, the same post over and over, she doesn’t have pictures outside her house, etc.! If this was your loved one, you would be suspicious too!
Time will tell if the legendary artist is really trying to reach out to her family.
