King Charles III is getting ready to mark a very somber moment in his life: the first anniversary of the passing of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
And His Majesty has been disturbed by some loud and ugly rumors involving Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The embarrassing chatter coming from the media about the Montecito royals has forced King Charles to break his silence.
The King and the rest of the Royal Family, including Queen Camilla, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their young children, are currently at Balmoral Castle in Scotland for the annual summer holiday retreat.
It is claimed that the large estate in Aberdeenshire is a place where King Charles takes some time to search for inner peace by exploring the deep woods in solitude.
King Charles is known for enjoying long walks, collecting mushrooms, and talking to trees to connect with nature and find solace in his chaotic world.
This year, King Charles had to briefly leave his Scottish bubble to address the pressing matter du jour: did he snub Prince Harry and Meghan Markle by not inviting them to Balmoral Castle? And did he decline to invite them to Queen Elizabeth’s memorial?
The Sun reported that King Charles and Queen Camilla will be joined by all the royals, including Prince Andrew, but Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been royally snubbed.
In a statement from Buckingham Palace, King Charles explained that there will not be a private or public event or ceremony commemorating The Queen.
Instead, he will take a private moment to remember the Queen who died in September 2022.
The Palace told Bazaar: “[There are] no plans for any public event—or indeed for any private family gathering—to mark the anniversary. Reports today suggesting otherwise are inaccurate.”
It was further explained that: “Instead of a public memorial, King Charles II and Queen Camilla plan to spend the day quietly and privately, the same way Queen Elizabeth spent anniversaries of the death of her father, King George VI.”
It is believed that Prince William and Kate Middleton will follow in King Charles’s footsteps with a private moment of their own.
It has been reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who will be in Germany in September, will mark the day in a significant and touching manner.
Supporters of the Royal Family believe this is a wise decision, and it is also a way to avoid any direct conflict with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
