Taylor Swift jumped into the political ring and has since been navigating the situation with class and generosity.
In her Instagram post endorsing Kamala Harris, Swift walked a fine line by advising her followers to do their homework and familiarize themselves with the two candidates and their policies before deciding who they will vote for.
However, Swift’s best friend, Brittany Mahomes, who voiced her support for Donald Trump, finds herself in one thorny situation after another.
The model and wife of the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes revealed her political preference over the summer when she took to social media and liked multiple posts about Donald Trump.
Trump penned a heartfelt message to Mrs. Mahomes, saying she was an extraordinary human and was delighted to have her support. The backlash was loud, heavy, and brutal.
Many slammed the wife of the football star for backing Trump, who has reportedly shown love for Hitler, insulted minorities, degraded women, attacked American heroes, and has been convicted of a long list of crimes.
Brittany Mahomes confirmed that she was no pushover and fought back by going after those who disagreed with her political views.
However, sources close to Mrs. Mahomes told The Daily Mail she had a change of heart after Trump screamed at the world that he hated Taylor Swift.
The pregnant mother of two was appalled by the hateful message and decided to pull back from publicly sharing her feelings about Trump.
One insider explained to The Daily Mail that Brittany Mahomes is a proud religious conservative who will now keep her political views private.
Before Donald Trump took the stage at his most significant and controversial political event at Madison Square Garden, Brittany Mahomes posted a quote that read: “Jesus didn’t have to agree with people to be kind to them.”
It was believed that she was asking for compassion for Trump and GOP members who have claimed that they are only doing God’s work with their tough stance on immigration and abortion. The timing of her message could not have been worse.
While Jesus disagreed with many, he did have love and empathy for them. Trump’s rally proved that people have little love for those they disagree with.
Trump, who spent the past few weeks slamming Haitian migrants for eating cats and dogs, took the stage to call Harris low IQ and once more insulted those who have different views from his party. Trump invited comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, who made racist and sexist jokes.
He crudely mocked Latinos by saying: “These Latinos, they love making babies, too. Just know that they do. There’s no pulling out. They don’t do that. They c– inside, just like they did to our country.”
He went on to insult Puerto Ricans by adding: “There’s a lot going on. I don’t know if you guys know this, but there’s literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it’s called Puerto Rico.”
The comedian continued with the racist jokes by mentioning his Black “buddies” and how they “carved watermelons” together. How Trump handled the despicable comment about Puerto Rico said a lot about the billionaire.
Trump spoke about the New York rally Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday and claimed it was a love fest. The mogul stated: “It was like a lovefest, an absolute lovefest. I don’t think anybody’s ever seen what happened the other night at Madison Square Garden, the love, the love in that room — it was breathtaking, and you could have filled it many, many times with the people that were unable to get in.”
The Trump campaign made it clear the former president would not apologize for the comment. A Trump adviser told The Bulwark: “It’s a joke. People need to grow up.”
Another adviser added: “This isn’t the hill we need to die on, Puerto Rico as a trash island—for f–k’s sake!”
Some believe that the moment could break through in the last week of the 2024 presidential campaign.
