Beyoncé consistently surprises both media and fans as she launches each new phase and act of her career — often in ways that challenge her most high-profile rivals.
Regardless of the year, every season feels like a Beyoncé era, driven by her constant evolution in music, fashion, business, and persona.
Fresh off her last two successful tours, the Renaissance World Tour and the Cowboy Carter Tour, Beyoncé took over the headlines and dominated conversations with her stunning appearance in a Levi’s jeans ad.
The ad angered many media personalities and Donald Trump backers, including Megyn Kelly and Piers Morgan.
Beyoncé’s critics claimed that she was engaging in a form of cultural appropriation by “ripping off” Marilyn Monroe or Sydney Sweeney, who recently appeared in a much-talked-about American Eagle ad.
Beyoncé dismissed her detractors and strategically used the bold Levi’s visual to launch her next act: a move designed to provoke and directly challenge some once again as she takes on rock and roll.
The headlines will write themselves. She will be attacked for “stealing” from Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins.
Meanwhile, defenders will note rock and roll’s deep roots in Black music, naming Chuck Berry, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Little Richard, and Fats Domino as foundational figures.
Beyoncé is also preparing to follow in her mother’s footsteps as an author, with an inspiring memoir underway, according to the Daily Mail.
There will, of course, be many chapters on her extraordinary career as one of the biggest artists and performers to ever do it.
Beyoncé will also speak about her marriage and share her fascinating take on motherhood, but there will be revenge tucked in the pages.
This new chapter is widely expected to unsettle Kanye West and Donald Trump. Over the years, West’s words and actions have deeply hurt Beyoncé and her husband.
He interrupted Taylor Swift‘s MTV Video Music Awards acceptance speech in 2009 to claim that Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” video was “one of the best videos of all time” — a moment that also led to a never-ending feud with Swift.
In one of his many public rants, West accused Beyoncé of using political influence to rig the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards so that she would win Video of the Year over him.
In a series of now-deleted social media posts earlier this year, West made offensive and vulgar comments about Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s children, Sir and Rumi, prompting the couple to reportedly consider legal action, according to Page Six.
West has also repeatedly used his public platform to humiliate Jay-Z and his family. A source close to Beyoncé explained to the Daily Mail that she will bare all and added: “Beyoncé is quietly writing a memoir after being inspired by her mother’s book. Beyoncé has been private about her personal life, but she documents everything, so she has technically been writing one for over a decade now.”
The insider also claimed: “Tina has been encouraging Beyoncé to be honest and raw about everything – including the infidelity. She is going to bare all in her own words. Publishers are aware of this and have already started putting bids in.”
The decision to bare all might be uncomfortable for Jay-Z. The public first discovered trouble in paradise in 2014 when a video of the infamous elevator fight between Jay-Z and his sister-in-law, Solange Knowles, was leaked on TMZ, sparking rumors of infidelity.
The scandal exploded with the 2016 release of Beyoncé’s visual album, Lemonade, which featured the now-famous lyrics referencing “Becky with the good hair,” a term widely interpreted as a reference to the woman with whom Jay-Z cheated.
Jay-Z later stunned the world by directly addressing and confirming the infidelity in his 2017 album, 4:44.
Beyoncé may have things to get off her chest about President Donald Trump, who has been attacking her since 2016 when she backed Hillary Clinton.
Trump recently renewed his attack on her by accusing her of accepting illegal payments from the Democratic Party for her endorsement of Kamala Harris during the 2024 campaign.
The former reality star-turned-politician also claimed she was paid $11 million for a brief appearance at a Houston rally, an event where she did not even perform.
Trump went so far as to call for the prosecution of Beyoncé and other celebrities for allegedly breaking campaign finance laws, a claim that has been disputed by reputable media outlets such as Reuters and AP.
Many anticipate that Beyoncé will use her pen as a weapon to finally settle old scores.
