Len Martin, a controversial rapper from Louisiana, has visited a hospital after applying Gorilla Glue to his lips in response to another social media user’s video. Some people are blaming former President Donald Trump for the foolishness.
Len Martin, 37, applied the strong glue to his lips after watching Tessica Brown, also known as #gorrilagluegirl, posting videos of her struggle after using Gorilla Glue as a hair spray and failing to remove it after multiple washes.
The Louisiana native thought Tessica Brown was lying and that her situation was not actually as bad as she was making it out to be on TikTok.
Martin claimed that he had tried out Gorilla Glue previously. He did not say where he had used the product but said it “didn’t do anything” to him.
However, he landed in the emergency room after filming himself gluing a red plastic cup to his lip, which could only be removed in hospital by undergoing a “painful peeling.”
Speaking to a news outlet after his ordeal, Martin said he thought he could have easily gotten it off his mouth by licking it to create moisture and subsequently “pull it right off.”
In a warning to other social media users who might be thinking of trying out the so-called Gorilla Glue challenge, he said it is “definitely not one to try,” encouraging people to “stop this now” and prevent more harm from arising.
He revealed: “I thought she was just playing around because I didn’t think it was that serious. I actually tried it out before, and it actually didn’t do anything for me … So I was like, ‘Okay, she’s lying,’ and there are all these challenges going on, so I was like, ‘Okay, I’m going to try it’ and it went backward.”
The artist concluded by: “This is definitely not one to try. Let’s just stop this now … It’s very harmful.”
Many took to social media to react to the insane story, with one person pointing the finger at former President Donald Trump.
The social media user claimed: “Trump started this with his bleach/Lysol comment 😂.” Another joined the conversation to say: “Can I start over & be a bird, dog, or alien because humans are embarrassing at this point.”
Len Martin was scolded by this Instagrammer: “Did you deliberately glue a cup to your face to get famous? Better go call that doctor Tessica went to. He gon tax now though, his price going up!”
This is not the first time Len Martin has been in the news for his antics on social media.
He has previously attracted attention for the Ice Cream Challenge, where he went into a supermarket and licked a carton of ice cream before returning it to the freezer.
Despite his history with social media challenges, Martin said the latest video was not for attention.
Meanwhile, Tessica Brown — the woman who inspired him to try Gorilla Glue again — has raised more than $20,000 and jetted off to California to receive treatment from a plastic surgeon.
