It looks like the marriage of Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar and Ahmed Hirsi is not headed in the right direction, as recent revelations about the politician have drawn a lot of negative attention to her, and may have even triggered the end of her life as a married woman.
This was revealed in a new report by someone allegedly close to the politician, who has made the shocking announcement to the press.
The new development comes not long after Omar was accused of having an affair with Tim Mynett, a political consultant from Washington.
The political’s guru’s wife, Beth Mynett, is the one who first said that there was some cheating involved.
Mr. Mynett hit back at the charge by saying: “Mr. Mynett denies that he told Ms. Mynett he was leaving the marriage for Representative Ilhan Omar (‘Rep. Omar’) or that he was in love with her.”
The accusation came in a court filing and quickly made its way to the politician’s husband, who has then taken the drastic decision to end their marriage.
It is not the first time observers have seen negative comments about the situation around Omar’s marriage, as it was previously revealed that she wanted to divorce her husband, but he refused to initiate the process.
Hirsi told his wife that she should initiate the divorce proceedings herself if she wants to see it happen, and refused to cooperate with her in any way.
This has changed now, as Omar’s husband is apparently on board with the decision to separate legally, and has been moving forward with the process himself.
Hirsi is reportedly trying to divorce his wife quietly not to affect the couple’s three children.
Omar denied last month that she was divorcing her husband although insiders say that they have been living separately since March.
Some have gone as far as to speculate that Omar may have orchestrated the announcement of her alleged infidelity so she could “prompt” her husband to agree to a divorce, but this has been questioned by many.
People on social media are confused with some of the recent developments.
One commenter stated: “When a man wants a divorce, he either believes she’s guilty as hell or been looking for an excuse to leave. Cause ain’t no way ima believe some raggedy looking wy woman off nothing. Guess time will tell.”
