Although the Christmas holiday is usually one of the happiest periods of the year for many people, this time, December 25 turned out to be a devastating day for the popular YouTuber, Brittani Boren Leach, who lost her three-month-old baby boy, Crew.
The 29-year-old YouTube personality brought the news about what happened on Friday when she shared a revealing post on her Instagram page.
The mother discovered her toddler was not breathing while they were visiting the house of a family member on Christmas Day.
For the time being, it remains unknown what caused the death of the infant, but his mother announced that his organs are going to be donated.
Meanwhile, Brittani stated that she and her close ones were going through a real nightmare, and she kept thinking what happened was just a bad dream.
The vlogger also addressed the many condolences she has received over the death of her young son and asked people to be more compassionate towards her situation as she reminded her fans that their comments and discussions of her videos were visible.
Furthermore, Brittani’s husband, Jeff, also stated that there were people who commented insensitive things about his family, while he expressed his gratitude towards the ones who offered help.
The tragedy reportedly hit the young family when Brittani went to check on her napping baby and found out he was not breathing.
Later, the YouTuber shared a picture from the hospital, in which she was holding Crew’s little hand while he was on a ventilator.
On the next day, the heartbroken mother shared a post on social media that her son has passed away.
One commenter stated: “I’m so sorry you guys are having to walk this path, my friend. My heart breaks for you, Jeff and the family. I hope you feel the Lord’s presence through it all and know we will continue to lift you all up in prayer. So much love to you all ❤️.”
A second person added: “We love you, @brittaniborenleach. May angels surround you and comfort your heart now and forever. We will never forget Crew. ?.”
Social media is still sending love and prayers to the grieving family. It is a change from the initial reaction from some trolls who had called the grief a “publicity stunt.”
