A shocking photo of Andrew Gillum without clothes and completely passed out in a hotel room floor has leaked. The image paints a different picture of the Florida politician’s scandal involving a gay escort overdosing on meth. Other pictures have also surfaced depicting the state of the hotel after authorities arrived.
The Florida politician had addressed his alcohol dependency and announced a few days ago his resolution to work on his problem in a rehabilitation facility.
The former mayor of Tallahassee reached his decision after his latest fiasco under the influence of alcoholic beverages, when the former Democratic Party rising star was found in a drunken condition in a hotel room in Miami Beach earlier this month.
In addition to the intoxicated politician, upon entering the hotel suite, authorities also discovered another male, 30-year-old Travis Dyson, who was seemingly experiencing a cardiac arrest due to apparent drug abuse.
Police officers also found a large quantity of what is believed to be crystal meth. According to the Democrat, who lost the political race against Gov. Ron DeSantis for the position of Governor of Florida back in 2018, he finally admitted he had a problem.
After a conversation with his family and deep reflection, he decided to seek help, guidance, and enter a rehab center.
The politician explained that due to his current condition, he was not considering any “public-facing roles for the foreseeable future.” For the time being, he wanted to focus on his alcohol addiction.
Gillum also explained that following his loss against DeSantis over a year ago, he was so depressed that he started drinking heavily, which in turn led to his alcohol dependency.
After the incident on Friday, the Democrat issued an official statement, in which he claimed that he did not use any drugs, but was only under the influence of alcohol.
He stated: “After conversation with my family and deep reflection, I have made the decision to seek help, guidance and enter a rehabilitation facility at this time.”
He continued: “This has been a wake-up call for me. Since my race for governor ended, I fell into a depression that has led to alcohol abuse. I witnessed my father suffer from alcoholism and I know the damaging effects it can have when untreated. I also know that alcoholism is often a symptom of deeper struggles. I am committed to doing the personal work to heal fully and show up in the world as a more complete person.”
The Gillum photo leak has changed people’s views of what happened.
One person, who believes that the Democrat might have been targeted, shared: “Always remember… politics is a dirty game. I don’t think this came out the way it did by accident. When “they” want to get you out of the way, it will happen by any means.”
A second commenter chimed in: “He should have either came as he is or played that a bit tighter knowing how high profile he was getting. Your adversaries are always plotting.”
A third observer said that it was all his fault and added: “Dude went out bad and it’s his own fault.”
Gillum was starting to make a name for himself as a political commentator on CNN.
