Search For Missing Colorado Woman Intensifies As Reward For Information Doubles — Neighbors Are Worried

Suzanne Morphew Colorado Missing Woman Barry

Suzanne Morphew, a mother of two, has been missing since Sunday after she went for a bike ride in Maysville, Colorado.

Mrs. Morphew, who was celebrating Mother’s Day, told her family and at least one neighbor that she was going for the little ride near her house in Chaffee County.

The mom of teenage daughters had a habit of going for bike rides or hikes in the area by herself.

Many hours after she failed to return home, the authorities were called by a worried neighbor, and a massive search has been launched in hopes that she will be found safe and sound.

It has been confirmed that the husband, Barry Morphew, was not at home when the woman disappeared. Mr. Morphew was in Denver when a neighbor reported his wife missing.

The Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office has speared no manpower to find Mrs. Morphew.

Along with spreading the news on social media, including Facebook, Instagram, and Reddit, the police have teamed with 90 searchers and investigators who are actively looking for clues in that area and the Arkansas River.

Thus far, the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office has little to go on other than one item thought to belong to Mrs. Morphew that it has been able to locate.

The Sheriff’s Office has refused to say what the personal item was or where exactly it was found. However, Mrs. Morphew’s nephew, Trevor Noel, claimed that the bike she rode on her day of disappearance was found.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the FBI have announced that they will join the many members of the Sheriff’s Office to help find the missing woman.

Drones and tracking dogs are also being used in the search. Swiftwater rescue teams have searched watershed areas around the Arkansas River.

While talking to local news, neighbors said they are worried about Mrs. Morphew because they sometimes see mountain lions roaming in the area.

Mr. Morphew is offering a $100,000 reward for information about the whereabouts of his wife. At the same time, a family friend, who wishes to remain nameless, has matched the offer; bringing the reward to a total of $200,000.

A $200,000 reward is being offered for information related to Mrs. Morphew’s disappearance. The family has created a GoFundMe campaign to pay for the search.

Anyone, who has any information about Mrs. Morphew’s disappearance, is asked to call a tip line at 719-312-7530.
