Beyoncé has been forced to learn a new life lesson at the age of 38, that no good deed goes unpunished, and her mother, Tina Knowles Lawson, has decided to defend her against the critics.
Like millions of people around the world, the Texas entertainer did an incredible act of kindness after the horrific killing of George Floyd in the hands of a white police officer named Derek Chauvin.
However, for Jay-Z‘s wife’s, her positive action backfired, and she received a ton of mean comments, which is why her mother stepped out to defend her.
Via social media, the singer and songwriter posted a video where she called for the end of racism and demanded justice Floyd and his family.
The diva and mom of three also urged her millions of followers to take action by sharing several petitions to advance the cause.
Beyoncé paid homage to Floyd and went on to explain that regardless of skin color — all humans should use their voices to end injustice in this country.
The actress and activist said: “We need justice for George Floyd. We all witnessed his murder in broad daylight. We’re broken, and we’re disgusted. We cannot normalize this pain. I’m not only speaking to people of color. If you’re white, black, brown, or anything in between, I’m sure you feel hopeless by the racism going on in America right now. No more senseless killings of human beings. No more seeing people of color as less than human. We can no longer look away.”
Beyoncé added: “George is all of our family in humanity. He’s our family because he’s a fellow American. There have been too many times that we’ve seen these violent killings and no consequences. Yes, someone’s been charged, but justice is far from being achieved. Please sign the petition and continue to pray for peace, compassion, and healing for our country.”
Several critics bashed the “Single Ladies” artist for bleaching her skin, for being too scripted instead of speaking from the heart, and others were confused by the filter that she used.
Queen Bey’s mother was not having it, and she slammed the critics.
Tina said in one post: “How about listening to the message! Instead of looking for something to complain and hate on. How many of you complainers have signed a petition called the District Attorney or any government official.”
The angry mama added: “Or done anything! Probably not one of you have lifted a finger to do a thing. Just complain about somebody else doing it and how they do it and be the negative critical haters you are. You make it hard to try to do anything! You are never satisfied ! do you and shut the hell up !”
The Beyhive also defended their queen.
