Kaylynn Knull and her boyfriend, Tom Schwander, decided to warn others about the Grand Bahia Principe La Romana, a resort in the Dominican Republic where three other Americans have died after falling terribly ill.

Knull sat down for an interview with local media and explained that in June 2018, she and Schwander traveled to the island for a romantic vacation.

The couple also had plans to purchase a timeshare at the resort but changed their minds upon seeing the property located in La Romana.

According to Knull, things took a drastic turn after they announced their decision to the management of the hotel.

Miss Knull claimed that one night upon returning in their room, they discovered that it smelled like paint.

The smell made the couple sick, and they found themselves battling symptoms like cramps, sweating, and drooling.

The woman explained: “As soon as we came back to the room, we noticed it smelled like somebody had dumped paint everywhere. We were drooling excessively. My eyes would not stop watering.”

She went on to describe the mysterious illness: “We were drooling excessively. My eyes would not stop watering.”

Knull said they fled the island as fast as they could and added: “That night, we both woke up soaked in sweat at like 4 in the morning and kind of terrified. And we booked a flight home before the sun came up.”

Once the pair returned to their home in Colorado, they sought medical help.

The doctor, who examined both Knull and Schwander, gave the following diagnosis, “likely Organophosphate poisoning,” which is probably the pesticides or insecticides that Knull believes that are being sprayed on the plants and tropical flowers that can be found all over the resort.

The pair reached out to the resort to get the list of chemicals in the products that are used on the plants, and they declined.

The refusal led both Knull and Schwander to take legal action against the resort. Documents showed the couple is seeking $1 million in damages via their lawsuit.

Knull said she is speaking out after hearing about the other incidents that took place at that same resort.

She stated: “Because I honestly believe the truth needs to be told. This sounds way too similar at the same resort. I don’t know, and I can’t keep my mouth shut.”

Last month, Miranda Schaup-Werner, a Pennsylvania psychotherapist, died at the resort.

Nathaniel Holmes and Cynthia Ann Day from Maryland were also discovered dead in their room.
