Actress Alyssa Milano shared a series of videos where she revealed her lengthy battle with COVID-19.

The Who’s the Boss? and Charmed star explained that she fell ill and was hospitalized for complications due to COVID-19 in April.

She went on to make a very devastating confession that left many of her fans heartbroken. The activist explained that she is what they call a “long hauler” in the medical field — which means that she is still sick for months rather than the two or three weeks after having the disease.

For the past months, Milano has been suffering from a long list of symptoms of the disease, including coughing, tightness in the chest, shortness of breath, and diarrhea.

As a long-hauler, she is also suffering from chronic fatigue.

She explained: “I was acutely sick with Covid-19 in April. I still have many symptoms. I am what they call a ‘long hauler. Last night, I had real heaviness in my chest. I went to the ER just to make sure it wasn’t a blood clot. Thankfully, it wasn’t. This virus sucks. Please take it seriously.”

Milano also revealed that she had been experiencing hair loss. In the video, Milano can be seen brushing her hair with a clean brush, and a large amount of hair came out.

This was me on April 2nd after being sick for 2 weeks. I had never been this kind of sick. Everything hurt. Loss of smell. It felt like an elephant was sitting on my chest. I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t keep food in me. I lost 9 pounds in 2 weeks. I was confused. Low grade fever. And the headaches were horrible. I basically had every Covid symptom. At the very end of march I took two covid19 tests and both were negative. I also took a covid antibody test (the finger prick test) after I was feeling a bit better. NEGATIVE. After living the last 4 months with lingering symptoms like, vertigo, stomach abnormalities, irregular periods, heart palpitations, shortness of breath, zero short term memory, and general malaise, I went and got an antibody test from a blood draw (not the finger prick) from a lab. I am POSITIVE for covid antibodies. I had Covid19. I just want you to be aware that our testing system is flawed and we don’t know the real numbers. I also want you to know, this illness is not a hoax. I thought I was dying. It felt like I was dying. I will be donating my plasma with hopes that I might save a life. Please take care of yourselves. Please wash your hands and wear a mask and social distance. I don’t want anyone to feel the way I felt. Be well. I love you all (well, maybe not the trolls. Just the kind people.)❤️

She captioned the video: “Though I’d show you what #Covid19 does to your hair,” she wrote. “Please take this seriously.”

The sad revelation comes one week after Milano revealed that she has been in pain from the coronavirus.

She said in part: “I had never been this kind of sick. Everything hurt. Loss of smell. It felt like an elephant was sitting on my chest. I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t keep food in me. I lost 9 pounds in 2 weeks. I was confused. Low-grade fever. And the headaches were horrible. I basically had every Covid symptom. After living the last 4 months with lingering symptoms like, vertigo, stomach abnormalities, irregular periods, heart palpitations, shortness of breath, zero short term memory, and general malaise, I went and got an antibody test from a blood draw (not the finger prick) from a lab. I am POSITIVE.”

A well-wisher told the actress: “MG…Please take care of yourself. This is the scariest part if this whole virus, the unknown. I truly wish we could all get on the same page and find some authority we can all trust. Get well.❤”

This social media user wrote a kind message that said: “I’m so sorry you’ve been going through all this. Thank you for spreading the word of how serious it is. ♥️Alyssa! Had no idea. Sending you love. I hope you get back to 100% soon and hope your story inspires people to take this seriously. ❤️”

Milano received these uplifting words: “I’m so grateful you’re on the mend! You’re not alone. I have the same issues. People do not want this novel virus! For many it lingers. I understand. I’m taking zinc D3 Liposomal vitamin C. It seems to be helping with energy. That’s just me. Not medical advice. Thank you so much for using your massive platform to educate& share your experience. Much love & light to you. Rest & heal. Forget the trolls. You’re a high vibrational woman. Brush the low off. ♥️?”

Milano is hoping that her story will convince more people to wear mask.
