The Real has been through some serious changes in the past years, and it has been revealed that there are more to come.
Fans of the hit the daytime talk show were first introduced to original co-hosts — Adrienne Houghton (née Bailon), Loni Love, Tamera Mowry–Housley, Jeannie Mai, and Tamar Braxton.
No one really knows why, but Braxton was unceremoniously booted from the program and after a revolving door of famous guest-hosts, Amanda Seales stepped in.
However, after taking part in the gabfest for less than a season, Seales bit the show adieu because she could not voice her opinion. The shakeup continued with Mowry–Housley bailing out over a contract dispute.
Viewers of the show should hold on tightly to their seats because there are some significant changes on the way. The heads of The Real are seriously thinking about getting a male co-host to replace Mowry-Housley and Seales for the upcoming season.
A source close to the producers of the popular talk show revealed: “The Real is looking at getting two new co-hosts for the next season. Pre-production starts this week, and they’re very, very tight-lipped about who it’ll be, but they’re looking at a new female and a new male co-host to join the current ladies. You will see diversity amongst the two new hosts.”
When Mowry–Housley announced her departure, many fans were devasted and took to social media to let her know that she will be missed.
One backer told the mother of two and actress: “Get ready girl! I got my seatbelt on. God is about to elevate your dreams. He’s not done! Thank you for your obedience. I know he’s guided you and will continue to do so. I want to thank you for all that you’ve done to pour into your fans. No other person will turn fans into friends. The humility and love you shown is immeasurable. We’ve watched you blossom into the most beautiful, empowering, inspiring, and confident woman. I will forever be grateful that this show allowed us to cross paths. You have been forever engraved in my heart. You have gone through pain, hurt, grief, loss, hate, criticism, ect, and continued to push through while in front of the world.”
The true supporter went on to say: “Thank you for your courage and willingness to be a positive light, a Godly voice, and a willing vessel spreading compassion, kindness, empathy, and love in all that you do. You made every episode and drive to the show worth it. I love you so very much. Although this is bittersweet, I’m excited to see how God is going to move! We have been ready! Remember that I started as your biggest fan and will continue to be no matter what! Cheerleading you on from a distance. Prayers locked and loaded. Here we go! Ps. I’m definitely gonna have to come to visit you in Napa again lol.”
Some are wondering if the show can find its old glory with a new lineup.
