Derek Jeter, along with his wife, Hannah Jeter, née Davis, are selling their stunning mansion in Florida for $29 million.
For those saying that it is a hefty price tag, note that none other than Tom Brady lived in the stunning residence.
The property, which is located in the Davis Islands neighborhood in Tampa, was built in 2012 on two massive lots that were purchased in 2005 and 2006.
Money was no object for the retired New York Yankees player who has a net worth of $200 Million and spent a fortune building his dream home.
The luxurious custom-built house is about 22,000 square feet and has seven bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, and eight half bathrooms.
The waterfront property boasts of a spa, a pool with a view of the bay, a gourmet kitchen, an in-home movie theater, a professional gym, and a garage for six cars.
Derek‘s real estate agent, Stephen Gay, said this about the listing: “This is the most impressive home to ever hit the market in the Tampa Bay area. The price of the megamansion probably went up because Tom and his wife, Gisele Bundchen, rented it after signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The former New England Patriots quarterback said he loved the home but had to make a few adjustments because it did not fit his introvert personality.
Brady explained: “I am going to stay here for a while. I had to get here on really short notice. He’s been a friend of mine, so we talked, and it all worked out. Perfect for me here to get started here. I forgot people could drive up to your house. Here they can pull right up to the back of the house. Derek did a pretty good job of screening it. I am a little bit of an introvert. I feel like my house is my place I can relax.”
He continued: “When you are outside the house, you understand everything with being me. … In the backyard, there’s a lot of boats that have pulled up and people at the front.”
The NFL star also revealed: “There’s enough space here. We have my sister-in-law that lives with us, our kids, and we have someone that cooks for us. So everyone’s got a little space. The nice part is we have a lot of outdoor space here. I can do all my football training here, which I really like. It’s been a good place to come down. He left it furnished for me, so I didn’t have to deal with any of that.”
Experts say it might take a little while to sell the mansion.
