Many are confused by the revelation that Naya Rivera’s ex-husband, Ryan Dorsey, and her sister, Nickayla Rivera, have moved in together.
Several photos of the pair holding hands while in a shopping mall have raised eyebrows. According to a family friend, Ryan and Nickayla have bonded as they grieve the loss of their beloved, Naya.
After becoming quite close, the duo opted to rent a home to raise and care for Naya’s son, Josey, 5.
There are numerous photos of Naya’s sister helping her ex-husband move into the new home. A source told the Daily Mail: “They were fooling around and chatting the whole time. They’re obviously helping lift each other’s spirits.”
A social media user confused by the news shared this interesting observation: “Yall this happens all the time. That the partner/parent of the child moves/gets closer with the family members on the opposite side. I don’t see how it is off?”
Another person revealed in the comment section: “I don’t want nobody my sister had. Absolutely nobody. I’m so glad my sister and I are 9 years apart cause I can’t imagine dealing with shi*t like this. This is weird af smh.”
This defender of the duo explained: “They are raising Josey together under 1 roof. Don’t exploit the kid. Off-limits. I would move in with my sister’s BD if he was seriously struggling to raise my niece or nephew after the passing of my sister. I’m sure they’ve spent many many holidays together.”
A Glee fan stated: “Girlllllllllllll I don’t know, this looks like it’s about to be an episode of the young and the restless or whatever stories my grandma be watching.”
The reason for Naya demise was recently revealed, as the Ventura County Medical Examiner that was responsible for the autopsy explained: “Based on the autopsy findings, known circumstances surrounding the death, and absence of anatomic or toxicological explanation for the death, as currently understood, the cause of death is drowning, and the manner of death is accident.”
Apparently, the late celebrity lost her life while swimming in Lake Piru, California with son, Josey, near the boat she had rented for a day, back in July.
Following the tragic incident, Bill Ayab, of the Ventura County Police Department, explained that the remains of the deceased were discovered in the water after a thorough investigation of the lake and that after speaking to Josey, it was understood that Naya and her son did swim at some point during their journey.
In addition, Ayab also revealed: “It was during that time that her son described being helped into the boat by Naya, who boosted him onto the deck from behind. He told investigators that he looked back and saw her disappear under the water.”
Following the drowning of his mother, Josey remained in the floating boat until he was discovered later during the day, fast asleep.
Meanwhile, Naya’s grieving mother, Yolanda, released a statement to investigators that Rivera was a great swimmer.
However, it appears that because of her confidence, she did not think it was necessary to equip herself with a life vest even though she was advised to do so upon chartering the vessel.
According to locals, Lake Piru is famous for its dangerous waters and currents.
