Kate Middleton has earned high praise from mothers after taking part in a special event near and dear to their hearts.
The Duchess of Cambridge recently decided to visit Imperial College London as she commemorated Baby Loss Awareness Week with grieving mothers who did not get the chance to see their children grow up.
The research center has a team of experts working diligently to reduce the rates of miscarriage, stillbirth, and premature birth in the country.
Kate donned a floral mask as she spoke to medical experts while touring the Institute of Reproductive and Development Biology.
The mom of three also had the opportunity to meet children born thanks to the institute’s research.
Kate sat down with families who lost a baby, including Clare Worgan, who was pregnant in 2017 and had the devastating experience of driving from the hospital without her baby.
Clare told Kate: “We spent those three days cramming in a lifetime’s worth of memories. When she was born, she was absolutely perfect. Her birth was literally the best thing that ever happened to me. And also the worst thing that ever happened to me. When we went home our lives had been turned upside down. We had been devastated.”
An emotional Kate responded by: “It’s so brave of you to be able to talk so openly. A lot of the research, a lot of the support for organizations, is being driven by parents who have been through this experience, and want to help others. It is so inspirational.”
Prince William‘s wife shared a few pictures from her important visit on social media with this caption: “Today’s visit highlights how important services like @Tommys and @sandscharity are continuing their support to families across the UK and reduce rates of miscarriage through scientific research. These charities play a pivotal role in helping those affected by the death of a baby, providing expert information and support to families at every stage of their pregnancy. The visit comes during Baby Loss Awareness week, as The Duchess joined medical experts to hear about the work they’re doing on preventative measures and support women who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, and premature birth. Support for families facing challenges before birth has been a key focus for The Duchess, as the Early Years initiative continues to shine a spotlight on the importance of early childhood.”
Many female royal fans, who have been through that horrific pain, were in tears. Yet, they found the strength to applaud Kate for shedding light on the matter.
A royal backer had this uplifting remark: “A woman with substance.. love all her Patronage and all organizations she supports… ???This made me emotional.”
This childless mother shared a bit of her story: “You are incredible! This is so deeply personal to me, I am so touched, so grateful you are highlighting such an important issue. So many of us struggling, or have struggled with! ♥️”
A weeping woman made this confession: “This is such an important and emotional visit ?❤. I cried. We should definitely discuss this subject more often! Well done to The Duchess of Cambridge for her amazing work. ???”
Kate has become the emotional face of the royal family.
