In New Video, Kirstie Alley Belittles Herself While Defending President Donald Trump

Kirstie Alley Sean Hannity Interview About President Donal Trump Interview

Kirstie Alley is not going down without a fight, and she is even beating herself up while at it.

This week, the actress and devoted Scientologist made an appearance on Fox News to defend the tweets she posted over the weekend where she backs President Donald Trump in the 2020 election.

The Emmy-winning actress said she is backing Trump because he is not a politician, and he has what it takes to turn the economy around.

Her initial tweet went viral, and the star was mercilessly bashed for supporting a president who mishandled the pandemic that led to the death of more than 200,000 Americans.

Alley told host Sean Hannity why she is backing the former reality TV star again and shamed herself by saying this while pushing for President Trump’s reelection: “They always attack me on the same three things: I’m a fat, irrelevant, Scientologist.”

She went on to explain: “But, this has been going on for 40 years, so I’m sort of prepared. That really is basically all they have to offer, so I honestly don’t take it too personally because I feel that people are angry and they have the right to say what they want to say, and I have the right to block them if I don’t like the way they speak.”

The Cheers star said the following in the viral tweet: “I voted for him four years ago for this reason and shall vote for him again for this reason. He gets things done quickly, and he will turn the economy around quickly.”

She revealed that she has been talking about this for a long time and is, therefore, a bit taken back by the backlash.

She claimed: “It’s funny because I have been talking about Trump now for several months, and the other night I put out a tweet that simply said that I voted for him the first time [in 2016] and [will vote for him] this time because he’s not a politician.”

Alley took the time to explain why she does not view Trump as a politician: “And I got this flood, I mean, thousands and thousands [of responses] going, ‘Do you know the definition of a politician? Do you know what a politician is?’ … and I do, and I know they know what I meant, and what I meant is that he is not a career politician.”

Alley went on to praise Trump’s stamina by saying: “He has more energy than any human being I’ve actually ever seen, and I think the big thing that I was mentioning in that tweet was that I’m really tired of career politicians.”

Trump’s opponent, Democratic candidate Joe Biden is leading in the polls, 12 days before Americans, who have not yet voted, go to the polls.
