Cardi B has been honored with the Billboard Woman of the Year title. The femcee graces the cover of Billboard magazine, wearing an intriguing flower headpiece and matching gloves.
Cardi is featured in a stunning high fashion shoot wearing multiple over the top, yet beautiful creations inside the music bible, including a black skirt that makes her look 10 feet tall and a matching blazer.
She also turned heads in a blue and white polka dot dress with matching leggings. Cardi B looked like a dancer in the outfit.
Offset‘s wife put her famous curves on full display in a tight black gown that included three giant flowers around her neck and bust areas.
Her millions of fans were blown away by the photos, but a few critics pointed out that Cardi’s skin looked darker than usual.
Others asked if she had plastic surgery because her nose looks different. A person called out the New York MC by making this remark: “A lot darker. This is not her natural complexion. What is going on? Are they trying to erase black women now too and substitute us??”
An angry social media user chimed in after seeing the pictures: “It’s degrading to me. They really wanna force this lady down our throats like she’s an authentic black woman.”
Another unhappy camper stated: “I’m sick of it. She literally called a black woman a monkey yet she continues to leach off our culture and is now being painted black. This is so insulting. This is too obvious. I wonder who’s idea it was to darken her complexion.”
Cardi never backs down from a fight, so she decided to address the conversation about her skin color.
She wrote: “I was sooo scared?but anything for fashion! Also no tanning was involved just straight lighting! Stop sucking d*ck.”
Cardi did not speak about the nose job allegations.
Inside the publication, the artist and political activist decided to talk about everything.
She opened up about the trolls who harass her, the pressures of being a woman in the entertainment business, and the constant criticism because of her sexually-charged lyrics.
The “WAP” artist stated: “Am I a role model? I know I’m a role model because I know there’s a lot of women like me. At the end of the day, I know I’m a b*tch that made it through because I work my ass off, not because luck fell on my thighs.”
She went on to reveal some rather intimate details about her life with Offset. She confessed to the magazine: “I want to show people that you can do positive things, but you can also be yourself. I’m a very sexual person. I love sex. I admire my husband’s penis. I love p—y, and I love my body, and I want to be able to express that. I’m just a naughty girl, and I’m not hurting nobody because I love my p—y and want to rap about it.”
She revealed that she is hurt when people rule her out just because she is taking a little vacation to enjoy motherhood and savor the precious moments with daughter Kulture.
Cardi shared: “I just wanted it to be amazing and really beautiful. I didn’t put out music for almost 10 months. Throughout those 10 months, I kept seeing thousands and thousands of comments and tweets like, “She’s over. She’s a flop. She’s done with.” People tried to erase me. And I’m like, “Damn, that’s not fair. I’m taking a little break!” If I put out bad music, I’m gonna get called a flop, and if I take my time, people are saying I’m over. That’s not fair.”
Cardi is still dominating the hip-hop game despite all the criticism.
