Prince Harry has made many revelations during his sit-down with Oprah Winfrey, and one of them has landed him in trouble with royal fans who have supported him in the past.
Sitting with his wife, Meghan Markle, the Duke of Sussex sent shock waves to the British monarchy by bringing up racism claims and lack of support from the royal family.
Prince Harry also focused on the positive aspect of his life by talking about the joy he has found in his new life in Santa Barbara with his wife, Meghan, and their one-year-old son, Archie.
Oprah dug deeper and asked Prince Harry what he cherishes in his life in the US, and he responded by saying that he is grateful for all the outdoor space for walks and bike riding with Archie.
The Duke of Sussex went on to add that he was not able to enjoy the simple pleasures of riding with his parents when he was a child.
He told her: “I guess the highlight for me is sticking him on the back of a bicycle in his little baby seat and taking him on bike rides which is something I was never able to do when I was young. I can sit him on the back, and he’s got his arms out, and he’s like, whoa.”
However, royal fans and journalists were quick to lash out at Prince Harry and call him a liar because there are numerous pictures on the Internet showing him and his brother, Prince William, cycling with Prince Charles and Princess Diana.
In one adorable childhood photo taken in 1988, Prince Harry sits in a mini-trailer being pulled by Prince Charles on a bike while wearing a kilt.
In another, Prince Charles and Princess Diana rented bicycles during a family holiday in Tresco on the Isles of Scilly in 1989.
An angry social media user blasted Prince Harry by writing: “You want a lie to be believed, you, and you to make sure that contrary evidence does not exist. Harry and Meg both need to learn this.”
Another person explained: “? Never did I for the tiniest of moments thought H would lie like his Mrs! I’m truely disappointed. I’ve always screamed it was her her her but now it’s as clear as day that he not only used his Mrs but also everyone in his life to rid the crown’s blood of him! Shame on you, young man! Shame on YOU! I can’t even utter his name; I’m just disgusted.”
This social media user shared: “Harry and Meghan did nothing but lie through this whole farce of an interview. She was unhappy??? Tick another box for attempting to be like Diana. Catherine made HER cry?? Don’t make me laugh. Harry was “trapped” but “didn’t know it?” Pull the other one. No he didn’t know it until Meghan told him. My blood is boiling over these two liars.”
Some half-truths were also found in Meghan’s statements like her not knowing that being married to a British prince would be a big deal.
