A deli worker in Oregon, Cassandra Medina-Hernandez, 38, is facing criminal charges for serving dip spiked with methamphetamine to her coworkers, resulting in the hospitalization of at least one person.

The woman behind the alleged crime already had a long history of criminal acts, as she was known to the police. She was caught by a security camera giving the dip to fellow employees and is now going to face some serious charges.

The woman can be seen taking something out of her bra and going behind a microwave, before emerging with the dip which she shared with her coworkers — and even ate some herself.

The story came to light after an assistant manager working at the Jefferson Thriftway complained that her daughter had been hospitalized after eating the dip.

The girl had asked the worker for some of her dip and she agreed to share it with her. She reported noticing a strange taste in some parts of the dip but did not consider it odd in the end and decided to eat it anyway.

After she returned to work, she felt dizzy and out of place. She told the police: “I was feeling weird. Like unsteady on my feet, and my stomach was upset.”

The emotional victim said Medina-Hernandez did eventually confess to lacing the bean dip with methamphetamine. The woman claimed that “she was shocked and conflicted about what to do.”

The woman was arrested on suspicion of unlawful delivery of methamphetamine, reckless endangerment, and causing a person to ingest a controlled substance.

It is not clear if this is the first time the worker had done something like this. Still, authorities are investigating all possible angles at the moment, and are looking for more information.

The management of the Jefferson Thriftway store has been working with the police to answer all questions surrounding the bizarre incident.

The company finds the events rather odd because Medina-Hernandez was seen as a serious and reliable staff member.

Management has suspended Medina-Hernandez from her job.
