Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s eldest son plans to make a huge change, but he does not have his mother’s support.
It has been revealed that 19-year-old Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt has decided to drop Pitt from his last name.
However, Jolie disapproves of it and has declined to give Maddox her blessing to change his name.
A source explained: “He doesn’t use Pitt as his last name on documents that aren’t legal and instead uses Jolie. Maddox wants to legally change his last name to Jolie, which Angelina has said she doesn’t support.”
19-year-old Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt gave a “not very flattering” testimony of his father, Brad Pitt, 57, in court last week.
According to leaked information, Angelina Jolie is prepared to further hurt Pitt by “providing proof” of domestic abuse.
Amid the bitter divorce, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s oldest son plans to travel to South Korea.
According to reports, the teenager will get back to South Korea to continue his studies in biochemistry, as his parents’ bitter divorce battle shows no sign of coming to an end.
Angelina Jolie’s son is getting ready to travel back and begin his second year of studies at Yonsei University in Seoul.
It was reported in 2019 that Maddox would be studying at Yonsei University, which he had chosen over other universities that had offered him a place.
The teenager was there until the coronavirus pandemic took hold in March 2020, forcing him to return to the US. He has been studying online and taking weekly Korean language lessons while living with his mother, Angelina Jolie, and his five younger siblings.
Last August, Angelina Jolie, 45, said her son, Maddox, had been studying online and starting classes at around 6 p.m. in the evening. She also said she felt blessed to have her eldest son and the rest of her children at home with her during the coronavirus pandemic.
Jolie explained in the recent interview: “He had to stay back from Korea. He’s going online, and so I think he starts at 6 pm at night.”
Maddox has become the only one to testify against his father so far during the high-profile custody battle between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt since he is the couple’s only child over the age of 18.
Brad Pitt had a heartbroken reaction to Maddox and Jolie’s decisions. A close source to Pitt told the New York Post: “Brad is heartbroken that Angelina has gone that route. There’s a lot of emotion left after their marriage.”
And now he is set to return to Seoul, where Yonsei University will adopt a new hybrid style of teaching, with labs, studio and field study courses happening face-to-face, and other classes remaining online.
Upon landing in South Korea, Maddox will be required to take a PCR test and produce a negative result before spending 14 days in self-isolation.
