Khloé Kardashian is feeling great and really strong after opening up about her body image struggle.
The reality TV star was forced to speak up after an unauthorized and unfiltered photo where she is wearing a bikini was posted on social media.
Kardashian’s PR team fought really hard to erase traces of the unedited picture from the Internet. After succeeding, Kim Kardashian‘s sister decided to address the controversy on her own terms with a lengthy and powerful statement.
An insider told Page Six: “There’s been an outpouring of support from friends, family, and business partners. It’s truly been amazing – everyone applauding her for opening up about her struggles that they all know have been weighing on her for many years.”
The source continued: “It was a huge release for her to be able to speak her truth finally, and she is feeling strong and happy.”
The person concluded with: “She won’t be doing a big party due to COVID, but she wants to make the day as special as possible. [True] will be with her cousins. Khloé is planning a slime station, tie-dye station, cookie, and cake decorating. There will be a moon bounce and a kids-themed lunch with True’s favorite foods.”
Kardashian’s initial statement read in part: “As someone who has struggled with body image her whole life, when someone takes a photo of you that isn’t flattering in bad lighting or doesn’t capture your body the way it is after working so hard to get it to this point — and then shares it to the world, you should have every right to ask for it to not be shared, regardless of who you are.”
She also added: “My body, my image and how I choose to look and what I want to share is my choice. It’s not for anyone to decide or judge what is acceptable or not anymore.”
While it is nice that the business mogul is feeling better about herself, some critics say she still needs to come clean about her plastic surgery because there is no shame in admitting to something like this in 2021.
One of those critics stated: “Khloé sis, you look amazing, but you still had work done. There is nothing wrong with that. I do not know why everyone keeps it a secret.”
A backer of the mother of one replied: “Can we stop associating our worth with our physical appearance or other’s perceptions of our physical appearance? It’s 2021, babes. Do better.”
The Good American founder was able to get the media’s attention in a way that she has not done in years.
