Holly Madison — who famously dated the late Hugh Hefner — has spoken about how she is glad she never had children with the Playboy founder, despite her desire to get pregnant during their relationship.
During an appearance on a podcast, the 41-year-old model said she saw a potential pregnancy as a way to make the other women in the Playboy mansion leave.
The last time Hugh Hefner, who died in 2017, had been with one woman in the mansion was when he was married and had two children.
The open relationship between Holly Madison and Hugh Hefner lasted from 2001 until 2008 when Holly was in her 20s and Hugh was in his 70s.
However, his low sperm count meant that a baby was impossible and was ultimately the reason for their split.
Holly Madison, who now has two children with her ex-husband, Pasquale Rotella — 8-year-old Rainbow and 4-year-old Forest — said “thank God” that she never got pregnant.
She said the idea of giving birth to a child with such an elderly man — ultimately “robbing [them] of his or her father” was even more “unpalatable” now she is a mother herself.
The model and TV personality said: “Yes, thank god, oh my god! When I had first gotten into that situation, and something happened in my mind that first night I had sex, where I felt like, “Okay, I did that.”
The author revealed: “I like breached my own boundaries, and I wasn’t comfortable with it. Now I have to make this situation into something. I almost locked myself into this box.”
Speaking about her time in the notorious Playboy mansion, Holly Madison said that she was only able to move in after having sex with Hugh Hefner, but the 9 p.m. curfews and strict $1,000 allowance for clothing made it “horrible” for her and the six other women living there at the time.
She also described her sexual relationship with the late Playboy editor-in-chief as boring, basic, and monotonous and admitted she had never been in love with him.
Her “horrible” experience was compounded by having “group sex sessions” twice a week where other women who “hated” her would watch and then “talk s***” behind her back.
She confessed: “Imagine having sex with somebody in a room full of women who all hate you. And you know they’re all talking s*** about you. Like, how horrible!”
Many have applauded the reality TV star for speaking her truth, while critics say it is a little bit too late.
