The 48-year-old actor has been looking for ways back to the 51-year-old diva’s heart since February.
As soon as the reports were confirmed that Lopez had ended her romance with then-fiancé Alex Rodriguez earlier this year, Affleck actively attempted to rekindle the romance with his ex.
Reliable sources spoke to TMZ, explaining that the Oscar-winning filmaker went wild after seeing several pictures of Lopez looking stunning as she was working on her movie, Shotgun Wedding, in the Dominican Republic.
In the photos, the blonde bombshell showed off her impressive body while wearing a wedding dress that had been torn and damaged for the action scenes she was filming at the time.
Unable to resist J.Lo‘s beauty, Ben Affleck started emailing her to let her know exactly how he feels.
Ben Affleck was clear with Jennifer Lopez — in one message, he told her that she looked great and he was longing to be with her again.
An emboldened Affleck flooded Lopez with emails where he promised her sweet nothings, and she replied that he could “own her heart” with his words.
The sexy email exchanges led to the duo reuniting to talk for long hours after Lopez returned to California in April.
According to Page Six, the duo reconnected over the past weeks. For Mother’s Day, they took a romantic trip to a fancy resort in Montana that is known as the “perfect backdrop for a romantic trip,” according to the same media outlet.
The lovebirds were spotted attending a party together while on their trip. The pair was also seen holding hands while boarding a plane.
Sources told PEOPLE magazine that despite the odd timing of her romance with Affleck, the Hustlers actress did not cheat on Rodriguez.
An insider stated: “She didn’t see Ben until it was over with Alex. Jennifer was in contact with Ben before she split from Alex. But it was friendly conversations, and they didn’t make a plan behind Alex’s back that they would date.”
The person in the know claimed that Lopez had a lovely time with her new beau during their romantic getaway.
The source shared: “She had a great time with Ben. She is happy with him and enjoys spending time with him.”
Meanwhile, Ben Affleck’s best friend, Matt Damon, was asked to spill the tea on the Jennifer Lopez reconciliation rumors, and this is what he said: “There’s not enough liquor in the world for you to get me to say something about that. I just heard from you guys. I was sitting here waiting to come on TV. This is the first time I’ve heard about it.”
He added: “It’s a fascinating story. I hope it’s true. I love them both. I hope it’s true. That would be awesome.”
Fans are excited to see where the two stars will take this new era, but Rodriguez may feel blindsided because until very recently he was hoping to reconquer her heart.
