Hailey and Justin Bieber would not be together if it was not for their Christian faith, Hailey Bieber disclosed during a vlog interview last week.
They have been married since 2018 after attracting much attention for publicly revealing they were remaining celibate during their relationship.
And now Hailey Bieber, 24, has said that their Christian faith is the biggest thing in their relationship, and they “wouldn’t even be together” without it.
The model spoke to actress Yvonne Orji during a 14-minute vlog posted to YouTube, where she talked about her marriage to singer Justin Bieber, 27, and how people ask what the “biggest thing” for them is.
She confessed: “And I’m like, “It’s our faith.” It’s what we believe in. If we didn’t have that, we wouldn’t even be here. We wouldn’t even be together.”
Justin met Hailey — the daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin — in 2009 when he was doing a meet-and-greet session.
Baldwin had chosen to follow the Christian faith in 2001 after the September 11 attacks in New York, meaning that Hailey spent much of her childhood being raised with a religious influence.
She also spoke about Christian people she has met who have been “super judgmental” and made her feel like she is a bad person because she does not “live [her] life the way they think [she] should.”
She revealed: “I’ve met Christian people that are just super judgmental and made me feel like I’m a bad person because I don’t live my life the way they think I should live my life. And I felt weird about posting certain photos of myself or feeling like, “People in the church are gonna see this. Am I doing something wrong? Am I setting a bad example?” And the reality is – no.”
Speaking about nude photoshoots, Hailey Bieber said she would never do that herself but gave “props to any woman” who is comfortable enough doing it.
And Justin Bieber is often telling his fans about his faith in God, most recently posting to his Instagram on Wednesday to “remind” his followers they are “miracles” and that “God loves [them] unconditionally.”
The “Holy” singer said there might be things that people wish were different, but God will “pull you through.” He encouraged his followers to “trust the one who designed you,” repeating that God “loves you unconditionally.”
While the two stars have always been open about their faith, not many people knew it was a crucial part of their romance.
