Keeping up with traditions, King Charles III has decided to remain silent, unmoved, and firm after his brother, Prince Andrew, was named 69 times in the unsealed Jeffrey Epstein documents that were released this week.
The large document dump stems from a 2015 lawsuit filed by Virginia Giuffre against Epstein. Virginia Giuffre accused Epstein and his associates, including Prince Andrew, of sexually abusing her when she was a minor.
Prince Andrew settled with Virginia Giuffre for a large, undisclosed amount in February 2022. According to the documents, Epstein’s accuser, Johanna Sjoberg, revealed that she was inappropriately touched by Prince Andrew.
She said in her deposition: “They told us to go get on the couch, and so Andrew and Virginia sat on the couch. They put the puppet, the puppet, on her lap. And so then I sat on Andrew’s lap, and I believe on my own volition, and they took the puppet’s hands and put it on Virginia’s breast, and so Andrew put his on mine.”
A motion was filed in the case on behalf of the victim, who is protected. The woman, only identified as Jane Doe #3, said she “was forced to have sexual relations with [Prince Andrew] when she was a minor in three separate geographical locations.”
The bombshells pushed many Britons to call the police and demand that Prince Andrew be investigated for sexual assault of a minor.
Via Instagram, the anti-monarchy group Republic confirmed that they have alerted London’s Metropolitan Police to Prince Andrew’s despicable activities.
Graham Smith, Republic’s CEO, said: “I have reported Andrew to the police, well aware that the Met claims to have looked into this before. To date, there appears to have been no serious criminal investigation, no interview of the accused or other witnesses, and no clear justification for taking no action. I am calling on the Met police to re-open this case; I am calling on MPs to debate this affair in parliament; and I am calling on Charles to make a public statement—in front of the press and taking questions—to respond to these allegations and what they say about the monarchy. How can we not expect a response from the government and head of state? At the time of the alleged offenses, Andrew was a government trade ambassador and an active member of the royal family. They fudged and obfuscated for 11 years before taking any definitive action. The government, police, and palace all have questions to answer. Now is the time to start answering them. The question many people will be asking is simple: “If the accused were anyone else, do we believe they wouldn’t have been investigated and prosecuted?”
Despite all the negative headlines surrounding Prince Andrew, King Charles has decided not to take any action against his brother.
Prince Andrew will not be evicted, he will not lose his titles and private security paid by His Majesty, and he will continue to publicly attend Royal Family functions like coronations and Christmas walkabouts.
To add insult to injury, King Charles has made it clear that he promised his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, that he would take care of his younger brother, and he is doing just that.
One insider told The Mirror: “Charles’ position has not changed in terms of allowing Andrew back into the family fold. As King, he decided to order the rest of the family to fall in line and welcome him back, and that was the end of the matter. [Charles] had discussed it with others, including Prince William, but his decision was final. Charles promised his late mother he would not abandon Andrew once she was gone, and that remains the situation, unless, of course, he finds himself engaged in a criminal matter.”
Sources close to The King said he was briefed by his aide when the documents were released.
His Majesty made it clear that at the moment his biggest concern is Prince Andrew’s mental health. A royal figure told The Daily Mail: “Charles may have been encouraged to act as he did precisely because he knew what was coming and wanted to throw a protective arm around his brother. He has seen for himself the diminishing effect the allegations have had on the Duke over the years and what they have done to his personality and his confidence. He is not going to banish his brother; he feels a responsibility for him. It was this concern for his mental well-being and how tormented he has been that encouraged the King to include Fergie as a thank-you for standing by Andrew.”
Royal watchers and experts say that King Charles, Queen Camilla, and the monarchy’s downfall might be tied to Prince Andrew.
While King Charles is not aware of it, there is a huge possibility that he will be remembered as The king who refused to follow reason and the call of the British people and stubbornly protected the pedophile and ignored the victims.
I’m not wrong all the girls (now women) were over the age of 16 which in the eyes of the law means that they can have sex with a man or woman without it being illegal as long as both consent so the main point here is did she consent or not and the fact that they were being paid a lot of money to do what they did I would think that consent was given so really what we should be looking at is was Andrew right or wrong to have sex with a 16 year plus young paid sex worker
