One of the most significant events of 2022 is set to take place in England, and it is believed that Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, are eager to be invited.
Queen Elizabeth II is set to make history by becoming the first British monarch to be honored with a Platinum Jubilee — or 70 years on the throne.
To mark the 70th year of the Queen‘s reign, a series of events have been lined up that will involve the British people and the entire royal family.
The festivities will begin on Thursday, June 2, and end on Sunday, June 5.
The celebrations include the Queen’s birthday parade, a Service of Thanksgiving, and a massive concert at Buckingham Palace.
Prince Harry and the former American actress want to be amongst the Brits and the royals who will celebrate the longest reign for any British monarch.
And according to a royal expert, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, and his wife have left their schedule wide open, hoping that Queen Elizabeth will invite them to the lavish celebrations.
Neil Sean, a royal expert, has revealed that Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and Prince Harry have made it known to Queen Elizabeth and her staff that they are available and can be called in to partake in public or private events.
The royal pundit explained: “According to a very good source, their [Royals] message is this, Yes it appears that the former royals are clearing their diary indeed, and this is of course for when the major celebrations of the wonderful Platinum Jubilee really kick off on the sixth month of 2022 that’s June.”
It seems that Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and the former soldier have sent clear signals about their availabilities to the Palace.
The move is rather confusing because the power couple stepped down from their royal duties and had vowed to become independent royals.
The royal commentator shared: “According to very good sources and palace courtiers, they tell me that they’ve received word get this from Harry and Meghan that they are going to keep their diaries free should, of course, they be called upon now.”
He went on to say that he is not certain how Prince Harry and Meghan Markle can be useful to Her Majesty, who has all the help she could possibly need.
According to the commentator, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s offer put the Queen in a rather odd situation.
He elaborated: “I’m sure that her gracious Majesty the Queen would have enough people helping to serve the teas and possibly clearing up at Windsor Great park who knows, and you can only imagine what on earth they could possibly offer, and I don’t mean that in a cruel way but you know it’s going to be very difficult for Her Majesty the Queen and of course, His Royal Highness Prince Charles and Princess Anne wouldn’t fancy asking her about coming over.”
Katie Nicholl, another royal expert, chimed in: “I think we can be certain that Harry and Meghan will be coming back to Britain. I think the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June 2022 are a likely opportunity for them to come over to be a part of the official celebrations of the Queen’s 70th year.”
Sources close to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have previously claimed they reached out to the Queen via letter and offered their services.
