While it might not have been part of their plan, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s earth-shattering decision to step down from their royal duties have put other royal family members in prominent positions.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s departure has also led to the end of some problems that have existed in the royal family for centuries.
In January 2020, Prince Harry and his spouse issued a statement explaining that they were making significant changes to their lives that included no longer being working members of the British royal family, exiting England, and finding ways to become financially independent.
Two years later, Prince Harry and Markle, along with their young children, seem to be thriving in their California mansion.
The two have secured numerous lucrative deals and have become critical players on the world stage, thanks to their activism, charitable works, woke actions, speeches, and lobbying technics.
According to royal experts, Prince Harry’s self-exile and some of his controversial interviews have led to some historical shifts in the royal family dynamics.
A tight bond has been forged between Prince William and his father, Prince Charles.
Royal commentator Camilla Tominey spoke about the developments that have occurred in the Palace walls since Prince Harry dropped his royal role by saying: “Historically, problems have arisen behind palace gates precisely because there was a sense that the three royal households – Buckingham Palace, Clarence House, and Kensington Palace – were not working in synergy. Yet it seems ‘Megxit’ has put paid to some of these traditional rivalries.”
She added: “It is no secret that both Charles and William were ‘deeply hurt’ by the claims made in the Sussexes’ prime-time interview with the US chat show host last March, especially Harry’s suggestion that both his father and brother felt ‘trapped’ in the monarchy, not to mention his refusal to rule them out of the running for who made an allegedly racist remark about Archie’s skin color.”
Tominey went on to say: “Their ever-closer cooperation, displayed in a ‘four generations of monarchy’ photograph, also featuring Prince George, to mark the turn of the decade in 2020 – was, in fact, one of the reasons Harry felt ‘pushed out.'”
These same royal pundits say that Queen Elizabeth II‘s advanced age and health issues and the passing of her husband have contributed to the revamping of the monarchy.
Royal author Phil Dampier shared: “There’s no doubt they will have made their views clear to the Queen over the Andrew situation. In the past, she would have spoken at length to Prince Philip about such matters, but now she has lost her husband, and with both her son and grandson taking over more and more duties, it’s no surprise that she is more reliant on their advice.”
He continued: “They are more influential than they’ve ever been. If anything, the departure of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – and the fact that William has fallen out with Harry – has brought him and Charles closer.”
Dampier believes that the announcement elevated Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, to roles that they were forced to be ready for.
He stated: “The whole future rests with William and Kate. Fortunately, they look up to the task, and I’m sure her best is yet to come.”
“Megxit” might have changed the structure of the British royal family forever.
