It is official that Jennifer Lopez is engaged to be married to actor Ben Affleck.
On Friday, the singer and actress shared an emotional video on her website where she made the announcement and showed off her unique engagement ring.
A source close to the power couple explained that they had been engaged for several days but wanted to keep it quiet and savor the moment before sharing it with the rest of the world.
Talking to PEOPLE Magazine, the reliable insider claimed that while the duo is head over heels in love after one year of dating thus far, they have refused to talk about a wedding.
The family friend told the publication: “She loves her ring and can’t stop looking at it, and the couple is not talking about a wedding just yet.”
The media outlet also revealed that the 52-year-old actress cannot stop staring at the ring and is thrilled by the shape and especially the color.
The couple rekindled their romance in early 2021. They dated and were engaged in 2002. In late 2003, they were forced to postpone their wedding just days before the date, and by early 2004, they ended the romance.
Just days before unveiling her stunning green diamond ring that is set on a silver band, Lopez took to social media to media to explain why that color is essential to her.
The businesswoman confessed that it is a lucky color that has been present in many significant instances in her life.
Lopez showed off a stunning piece of artwork that she has hanging in her office.
The piece features a beautiful green bird perched on someone’s hand and the words “Let Go” written on the two sides.
She opened up about the painting by saying: “I don’t buy a lot of art, but I bought this. One because I love hummingbirds, and two because I love the color green. Birds always fly around me. I’ve always had a special connection with hummingbirds. I realized that a lot of people say they symbolize love. So whenever it feels like wherever I go, they follow me.”
She added: “Whenever I am in a moment of doubt and confusion, one will magically appear by my window, reminding me that the universe will always speak to us if we are open to the signs.”
Lopez has talked in the past about why the color green means good fortune for her by pointing out that the iconic Versace gown she wore to the 2000 Grammys changed her life forever.
