It has been confirmed that Queen Elizabeth II is currently vacationing in Balmoral, Scotland.
Her Majesty is supposed to enjoy a ten-week break in the country where she will receive multiple members of the royal family as guests.
Sources revealed to The Sun that Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their children — Archie and Lilibet Diana — have received an invitation to travel to Scotland.
However, it is believed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex might decline the invitation and stay in America during the summer.
The powerful pair has several reasons for remaining in California. They have multiple work commitments — Prince Harry has a book to complete, and Markle has a podcast to launch.
However, it has also been confirmed that Prince Harry is still reluctant and fearful to visit the UK with his family because of the lack of police protection.
This week, Prince Harry filed a second lawsuit against Her Majesty over their failure to give him the particular security that he wants.
In an unprecedented move from a member of the royal family, Prince Harry sued British police. Court documents showed that Prince Harry is going after Metropolitan Police based in Scotland Yard.
The prince’s lawyer stated that his client “wants to be able to pay for the protection, saying his private security team in the US doesn’t have adequate jurisdiction abroad or access to UK intelligence information.”
Prince Harry is already in a bitter court battle with the UK’s Home Office over their unwillingness to let him pay for his security.
The first lawsuit, which he appears to be winning, cost British taxpayers over $120,000.
According to royal expert Robert Jobson, the lawsuits and security woes are the main reasons why the prince and his family might bow out of the trip.
However, the royal correspondent claimed that Her Majesty could step in to make sure that Markle and her family are provided with the proper security that they are demanding to feel safe enough to join her in her highland retreat.
Speaking to the Australian morning program Sunrise, he said this is one of the best times for Her Majesty to meddle in Prince Harry’s business and resolve this matter peacefully, so he could make the trip.
Jobson stated: “I think the Queen is being wise in extending the invitation. Whether or not they come is another matter because Harry’s got this long-running case with the British Home Office about whether or not they will provide security for him while in Scotland Yard protection.”
He claimed the Queen’s intervention could rapidly resolve the matter and added: “He said he offered to pay for it, but it doesn’t work like that over here. I’m sure that will be resolved if the Queen intervenes and says that I want my grandson’s family looked after.
Jobson said that if The Queen wanted, she could use her special privileges to help her grandson as she had done for Andrew.
He stated: “There’s always a way around these things.”
Many are baffled that Prince Harry is still fighting in the courts over his security because in June, he made a safe trip to London with his family for the Platinum Jubilee, and all went well.
