Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, were initially in Europe for charity events, but life came at then hard with the news of Queen Elizabeth II‘s death.
Since then, the pair has been forced to put their differences with the other royals aside, play nice, and make public appearances to pay tribute to Her Majesty.
While participating in those events, the power couple has been hit with larger-than-life snubs and snafus.
Sources close to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have revealed that while some of these negative moments have hurt them, they have taken them all in stride for the sake of the late Queen.
All the experiences have not been negative. Friends of Prince Harry and Markle spoke about a chance encounter with Prince William at the Windsor estate that went positively well.
Note that Sussexes reside in Frogmore Cottage while William, Prince of Wales, and his spouse, Catherine, Princess of Wales, recently moved to Adelaide Cottage.
The two homes are about 400ft apart. It has been confirmed by multiple media outlets that on his birthday, Prince Harry and Markle were driving from Windsor to another location.
Their car drove past Prince William, who had just picked up his three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, from school.
The two brothers stopped their vehicles, reversed and rolled down their windows, and had a little private chat that lasted a while.
According to an insider with ties to Prince Harry, who talked to The Sunday Times, it was rather uncomfortable to make contact with his older brother, but they are both determined to do their best to make the truce last.
The source claimed: “… the contact with his brother had been uncomfortable and difficult for them both – but everybody is trying their best.”
Prince Harry has been struck with the feeling of regrets during the unexpected conversation with Prince William. The California-based royal was suddenly reminded that he had lost a tight bond with his brother.
Via The Daily Mail, another insider claimed: “Harry’s brushes with his brother made him feel a twinge of regret ‘about what could have been and left him feeling that ‘it didn’t have to be this ugly’ between them.”
The brothers and their wives attended Queen Elizabeth’s funeral alongside their father, King Charles III.
During the religious ceremony, the brothers hinted that they were indeed united in grief. No major rapprochement was made, but baby steps were taken via small chats and kind gestures.
Many are hopeful it might lead to a reconciliation.
