December 9 is the date that Sex and the City fans around the globe have been waiting for, and their excitement can hardly be contained.
HBO Max made things official on Friday with the release of a teaser trailer. The spinoff series will feature ten episodes that will air on Thursday every week.
The premiere is set to include two episodes. The trailer sparked a lot of conversations around one star of the series.
Kristin Davis, who is 56 years old, looks unrecognizable in the images that have gone viral. Some people are convinced that Davis had some work done.
Interestingly, in October 2018, she had dismissed the idea of plastic surgery. At the time, she bravely told New Beauty: “I’m scared of needles, scared of complications, and scared of doing something that looks bad and not being able to go back and fix it.”
When it comes to her body, she told AOL’s Gibson Johns: “I used to go to the gym six days a week, two hours a day. I worked hard to try to fit into the Hollywood standard or what I perceived that to be. It was a struggle because that was not really my body, and I was killing myself trying to change it.”
She also stated: “I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to say that [beauty standards] don’t concern me or that I don’t think about them, but on the other hand, I feel stronger in who I am and that my body is my body and a lot of people love my body.”
However, by July 2021, rumors started running around that Davis had changed her mind, and her face had a different outlook.
Michael Somenek told OK! Magazine: “Her cheeks appear to be overfilled, creating a rather distorted appearance to her eyes and making her face look much wider than her traditionally slimmer face from the past. Her lips have been injected, which is why they have a somewhat stiff appearance when she is smiling. Alternatively, she may have also gotten a lip lift to elevate her upper lip. Overall, it has created a rather disproportionate look to her face.”
Some supporters have said regardless of the chatter, the ladies look great. Sarah Jessica Parker and Cynthia Nixon are part of this new adventure. Kim Cattrall, who played a huge role in the show’s success in the 1990s and the 2000s, is not returning for the reboot.
