Ahead of her highly anticipated trip to the US, Kate Middleton has decided to up her game and presence in the American and British media.
Prince William‘s wife is letting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle know that they will not be able to steal her thunder during their December trip to Boston.
Middleton, who shuns the spotlight, has penned a passionate op-ed that tackles societal issues that are dear to her heart — early childhood development and mental health.
Writing in The Telegraph, Kate Middleton said: “Over the past ten years, talking to a wide range of experts about how we deal with societal issues, like poor mental and physical health, I have become more and more sure of one thing: if we are going to create a healthier and happier society for future generations, we must start by understanding and acknowledging the unique importance of the first five years of life.”
Middleton explained that it is vital for parents and experts to provide early mental aid to children who need it to prevent addiction and homeless in adulthood.
She concluded by saying: “That is why I am determined to continue to shine a light on this issue and to do everything I can to secure much greater focus on those first crucial few years for the youngest members of our society – they are, after all, our future.”
Kate Middleton once teamed up with her husband, Pince Harry, and Meghan Markle to launch the mental health campaign, Heads Together.
In early December, the two power couples will be on the East Coast — to put the focus on charity, duty, and service while taking opposite angles and methods to achieve their goals.
The heir to the throne and Catherine, Princess of Wales, taking the traditional route, will be presenting the 2022 Earthshot Prize Awards and will take part in multiple royal engagements.
Around the same time, Prince Harry and Markle, who are opting for the modern approach, will be in New York to receive the prestigious Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope award.
This is why Prince Willam and his spouse have decided to put the best versions of themselves out there to captivate the media and put the spotlight on the monarchy and their charity work.
One well-placed royal source told Page Six “that the brothers’ opposite missions underscore a big point” and added: “It’s not bad to receive an award, but it shows the fundamental difference between [William and Kate] — who have constitutional roles, who are working on behalf of others — versus being a celebrity.”
The person went on to say: “They were always famous, but now they’ve reached a different stage in their public lives — they’re different types of figures.”
The Palace is not hiding from the PR confrontation.
