The rift between Prince Harry and his family is set to grow in the upcoming months.
The fragile relationship between Prince Charles, Prince William, and Prince Harry will face more challenges with the release of new chapters of Finding Freedom.
The controversial yet top selling biography about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle written by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand was first published in August 2020.
A royal expert claims that if the updated version of the book contains intimate details about private conversations that took place around Prince Philip’s funeral last month, reconciliation between the two camps may never happen.
The first release received a lot of attention and covered almost four years in the relationship of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. A period that started with their meeting in 2016 and ended with their exit from British royal family duties in early 2020.
Scobie and Durand are expected to reveal new details in the aftermath of the bombshell Oprah Winfrey interview that has rocked the British monarchy earlier this year.
Finding Freedom was criticized for offering a positive insight into the relationship of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Critics say that the book ignored unflattering aspects of their journey.
Duncan Larcombe, who wrote Prince Harry: The Inside Story, thinks the upcoming chapters could hurt the burgeoning detente between the Sussexes and the rest of the royal family if they contain unflattering revelations about people like Prince William and Prince Charles.
The royal expert said: “That really will be the final straw. That’ll be it – there will be no chance of a reconciliation ever and all trust will be broken.”
He added: “How could anyone from the Royal Family trust them again if the intimate details of conversations were leaked. Why would they want anything more to do with them? Those chapters will be extremely telling as to the state of the royal rift as it stands now, and to where it’ll head in the future.”
Prince Harry has had a tough time in recent weeks when it comes to his father and brother after he and his wife accused the royal family of racism during the sit-down with Oprah.
The powerful couple also said that Meghan Markle never received proper support when she was suicidal while pregnant with her first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
The announcement of the Oprah interview being revisited, rehashed as part of the new chapters in Finding Freedom will further anger Prince Charles and Prince William.
This week, British writer Lady Colin Campbell explained that Prince William has no lost love for Meghan Markle, who attacked Kate Middleton during her conversation with Oprah.
The royal author dropped this bombshell: “My understanding is that he regards her as lower than the lowest form of pond life. And that he is absolutely spitting bricks. Not only about the treacherous way in which she invented all sorts of slurs, slanders, and misrememberances to attack the Royal Family unfairly and untruthfully. But also to attack his wife.”
Lady C continued by saying: “I understand that he regards it as unforgivable that this pushy little scrubber, who has hustled her way up into his family, had the temerity to attack his wife.
Prince Charles is also said to be “still fuming” over the shocking revelations made by the Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle.
Royal correspondent Christina Garibaldi revealed that she was told by a reliable royal source that Prince Charles is angry at his youngest son.
She also explained that that the future king and his son were not able to make any progress during his brief trip to England for Prince Philip’s funeral.
She revealed: “Prince Harry and Prince Charles did not resolve their differences when Harry returned to the UK. They barely communicated. Charles is still fuming about Harry throwing shade at him and the Royal Family in the big interview and won’t let it drop.”
She also hinted that the so-called peace talks between the Prince of Wales, Prince Harry, and Prince William were not fruitful.
The new chapters will also shed some light on the Netflix and Spotify deals that Meghan and Harry have landed after leaving their duties as working royals.
