It was a tough week for Donald Trump, who faced humiliating rejection from his party.

However, the former president was fast to bounce back by delivering a fiery speech at CPAC and scoring a significant win against all his Republican rivals running or mulling over running for the highest office in the land.

In yet another television interview, Trump’s former Vice President Mike Pence was allowed to rectify the record on his support of Donald Trump.

The former governor of Indiana previously stated that there were better candidates than the bombastic billionaire running in the race for the White House.

Pence explained that the GOP needs fresher minds with true conservative policies. Appearing on CBS, Pence was given another chance to back his former running mate.

Pence doubled down on his claims that Trump is not the right leader for the Republican party, saying: “I’m very confident we’ll have better choices come 2024. And I’m confident our standard-bearer will win the day in November of that year.”

Pence also noted that “different times call for different leadership.” Donald Trump brushed off the embarrassing slap and marched on to deliver a fiery speech to the attendees of the Conservative Political Action Coalition (CPAC).

The real estate mogul brought the red meat at the annual event, where he eviscerated members of the woke community who are pushing gender-affirming care and teaching children about race.

Trump captivated the MAGA crowd by stating: “We banned transgender insanity from our military and signed the world’s first ban on critical race theory long before anybody had even heard of the term. It was all banned; everything was good. When Biden came in, this guy came in, and he put everything right back into a place where it was.”

Trump promised to erase all of President Joe Biden‘s policies geared towards transgenderism by saying: “I will revoke every Biden policy promoting the chemical castration and sexual mutilation of our youth and ask Congress to send me a bill prohibiting child sexual mutilation in all 50 states. That should be easy. And we will keep men out of women’s sports. How ridiculous. That will take place on day one.”

Donald Trump’s anti-trans rhetoric was accompanied by some complaints about the New York and Georgia ongoing court cases that he is dealing with.

The mogul lashed out by sharing: “They’ll get me for anything. You put a comma in this paragraph. Why did you do that?’ ‘I don’t know. I had the perfect phone call.”

Trump was declared the winner of the straw poll. CPAC attendees picked Trump over Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, and Vivek Ramaswamy.

Recent polls have suggested that the former president is ahead in the GOP race for the nomination.
