The only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Anne, made headlines recently when her latest interview with Vanity Fair was published because she took a few shots at Prince William and Prince Harry.

In her interview, the senior royal opened up and talked about her duties as a patroness for various charity organizations and reflected on how different her approach was to the ones used by her nephews, Prince William and Prince Harry.

According to the princess, the two princes did not want to do things as she has been doing them for the past decades.

She claimed that the sons of Princess Diana and Prince Charles preferred to do their work in a modern way.

She stated: “I don’t think this younger generation probably understands what I was doing in the past, and it’s often true, isn’t it? You don’t necessarily look at the previous generation and say, ‘Oh, you did that?’ Or, ‘You went there?’ Nowadays, they’re much more looking for, ‘Oh, let’s do it a new way.”

Besides, Princess Anne compared herself to the younger members of her family by stating that she was a patroness to the charity Save the Children for around ten years when she gave her first speech regarding the organization.

Meanwhile, Princess Anne addressed the way her nephew handled things with the words, “And I’m already at the stage, ‘Please do not reinvent that particular wheel.’ We’ve been there, done that. Some of these things don’t work. You may need to go back to basics.”

During the interview, Princess Anne talked about how she handled her clothes, as she explained that she first bought the fabrics, which were later turned into attires because it was more fun for her.

Princess Anne, who is the mother Peter and Zara Phillips revealed what it means to be Queen Elizabeth’s grandchildren with no royal titles.

She stated: “I think it was probably easier for them, and I think most people would argue that there are downsides to having titles. So I think that was probably the right thing to do.”

The princess, who will have her 70th birthday in August, also expressed the desire to avoid any festivities surrounding her birthday, but she did not think that was going to happen.
