King Charles Joins Prince Harry And Meghan Markle In Awkward Reconciliation Dance

Meghan Markle Prince Harry UK Trip Low Key

A lot is going on in the Royal Family at the moment. Prince Harry is still promoting his tell-all memoir Spare, which has caused a lot of damage to the British royals.

King Charles III is working hard to prepare for the May 6 coronation ceremony. He is also dipping his toes into some important political issues for his country in a post-Brexit world.

Despite his busy schedule, the Monarch has found time to punish his youngest son for some of the content from the controversial book.

In an attempt not to appear weak, King Charles opted to evict Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, from their UK residence of Frogmore Cottage.

The salacious stories about Prince William and Camilla, Queen Consort, went too far for the Sovereign, who felt like he had no other choice.

Critics of the Duke of Sussex applauded the decision, but others found that the King was not gracious enough and hit his son too hard.

Sensing that he might have a PR issue over the decision, King Charles is trying to walk back the eviction a bit by offering the power couple an olive branch.

According to reports, King Charles is thinking about giving them Prince Andrew‘s Buckingham Palace apartment so that they can have a home in the United Kingdom.

King Charles is also hoping that this kind of gesture will make it possible for him to have a relationship with his grandchildren — Archie and Lilibet.

The eviction has a security component that makes the new compromise necessary. It would be much harder to protect Prince Harry and his family outside of the royal estate.

It is clear that the King is not ready to start a real war with his son. Interestingly, it seems that Prince Harry is trying to avoid more tension for now.

During his revealing chat with toxic trauma expert Dr. Gabor Maté, he repeatedly avoided launching new attacks on the Royal Family.

Instead, he chose to focus on his own feelings and personal narrative. It was a surprising move because most observers were expecting more truth bombs and revelations.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams stated: “I don’t think this will change things. Things are bad; there is a serious rift. The best that can be said is that this didn’t make things worse.”

He continued: “There was no direct attack on the monarch, and there was also, although it was all in the background – the past he was escaping from – there was no direct attack at all on any member of the royal family.”

Prince Harry’s surprising caution is a hopeful sign that all is not lost between the two sides. Moreover, if King Charles continues to engage the pair, the door will stay open.

The coronation ceremony will offer more clarity if the Sussexes are present.
