In a challenging political match against Donald Trump, Ron DeSantis has found time in his busy schedule to tackle an important topic — fashion.

In the past few months, the Republican politician has been busy taking on a brutal legal fight with Disney. DeSantis has been raging a war against what he calls woke ideologies in Florida in schools.

The Florida Governor also recently announced that he is running for president of the United States in the heavily contested Republican primary.

Former President Donald Trump, who is leading in the polls, has been pouncing on Ron DeSantis’s character and policies.

Meanwhile, in a new interview, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis surprised many by lamenting about his wife, Casey DeSantis‘s lack of opportunities with the top fashion magazines.

The First Lady of Florida is a former newscaster and anchor who, like Melania Trump, is known to be a true fashionista.

During meetings, interviews, and while stomping on the campaign trail, Casey DeSantis often appears in the latest fashion trends.

According to her husband, if she was the wife of a Democrat, she would have been recognized by fashion bibles such as Vogue.

Ron DeSantis said on the Mark Levin Show: “If she were a Democrat, she’d be in every fashion magazine … they would be making her be the biggest deal. But because we’re conservative, we know that’s not what happens.”

He went on to talk about Melania Trump by saying: “I’m sad to say that magazine covers don’t quite have the impact that they once did in our culture. But among folks who think it was so unfair that Melania was excluded from Vogue, they are still sort of held up as this amazing thing.”

Donald Trump’s wife, a former glamor model, never appeared on the cover of Vogue or other major fashion publications during her four years in the White House.

Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, and Jill Biden have graced the cover of the magazine.

Melania Trump was asked why she was snubbed, and she revealed: “Vogue‘s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour is biased. They have likes and dislikes, and it’s so obvious.”

She added: “I think American people and everyone sees it.t was their decision, and I have much more important things to do — and I did in the White House — than being on the cover of Vogue.”

Conservative first ladies Laura Bush, Barbara Bush, and Nancy Reagan have not covered Vogue.
