When His Majesty wed for the second time out of respect for his late first wife, Princess Diana, he vowed not to give the title of Queen Consort to Camilla Parker Bowles.
However, Queen Elizabeth II broke a significant promise by announcing in early 2022 that the wife of the King would be Queen Consort.
Days before the coronation ceremony, King Charles ignored his mother’s wishes and announced that his spouse would now be Queen Camilla. Well, Queen Camilla might get one last title change from Prince William.
Queen Camilla facing uncertainties when Prince William takes the throne
Royal experts were asked to weigh in on the thorny question of what would happen if Queen Camilla outlives her husband.
In that scenario, it would mean that Prince William is the new King of England and Catherine, Princess of Wales, now has the title of Queen.
According to The Mirror, Queen Camilla would face a lot of uncertainty if King Charles dies before her because she is in uncharted territory by not being the biological mother of the new monarch.
The media outlet explained: “In the circumstances that Charles were to die before Camilla, it has led to the question of what role she would then have. She would not become the Monarch as that is passed down the bloodline, so the Prince of Wales is the heir to the throne. And so, her new title would be the Queen Dowager as the widow of the King, which is a title that was first used by Queen Adelaide in 1830.”
While other queens were allowed to pick the title Queen Mother after their husbands passed, royal watchers are still unsure if Queen Camilla will be given that privilege.
Queen Elizabeth’s late mother, Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, became Queen Mother after her husband, King George Vl, died.
Like Prince Harry, Prince William has a complex relationship with his stepmother.

In his bombshell book, Spare, Prince Harry explained that he and Prince William never fully embraced Queen Camilla.
Prince Harry also claimed they never wanted King Charles to marry Queen Camilla.
He revealed all the harsh feelings he has kept secret about Queen Camilla in his book, Prince William used the coronation to give some significant hints at where he stands with his stepmother.
When King Charles and his wife arrived at the special concert at Windsor, the Royal Family curtseyed only to His Majesty.
Prince William declined to bow. Prince George and Princess Charlotte followed their father and refused to bow to Queen Camilla.
Judi James, a professional body language expert, spoke to Express to explain the situation: “This is a unique example of selective bowing, where William, Charlotte, and George opt not to bow or curtsy to Camilla in keeping with protocol, but Kate drops a deep curtsy to both Charles and Camilla.”
She added: “It looks like an appeasement gesture after Camilla has been elevated to the role of Queen. Would William have felt comfortable bowing to the woman who took the place of his mother on the throne of the UK? He turns to look at his father but avoids looking at his stepmother.”
Prince William delivered a speech that night and decided not to mention the Queen.
Royal biographer Tom Bower stated: “And what was even more noticeable was, at the Windsor concert the following day, William makes no reference to Queen Camilla [in his speech]. So there is a tension there.”
Queen Camilla cannot depend on Kate Middleton to help her
Queen Camilla is not very close to Catherine, Princess of Wales, and therefore, she cannot depend on her help to be granted a special title when Prince William takes the throne.
While at Westminster Abbey, the Princess of Wales put some distance between herself and the Queen by not bowing.
Bower revealed: “If you look at the coronation footage, as the King and Queen leave the thrones and head for the exit of Westminster Abbey. You’ll see that everyone bows and curtsies to the King, and no one moves a limb, a muscle when Camilla passes. And that’s because they were angry with Camilla.”
Queen Camilla has a few things to think about.
Charles should never have changed what his mother done the public had learnt to call her queen consult but by changing it to straight queen yet again Charles has made a very bad choice he is a always will be a very weak king the way that he runs around after harry proves that sorry but I can’t wait for William and Kate to take to the thrones of the commonwealth then maybe we will see a young modern king and queen take us forward in a modern world
